Howdy!

Is there any software, script, plugin or something to fetch lyrics from Metal Archives and embed it into my music collection?

Thank you in advance!

Not to my knowledge but that's a good idea.

not a good idea imo. this will only encourage more illegal downloading, putting physical releases in the dinosaur era.

this is why we have booklets.

Are you for real :durr:

It would definitely be a cool idea to see, for those who use that functionality. M-A users do a pretty good job with the lyrics.

You could probably just get the normal lyrics plugins, which may not have the more obscure bands in their database, but then again you could add those lyrics yourself.

I'm asking for MA's lyrics because no other lyrics service has that much obscure metal/underground stuff. Doing it manually would take me most part of the year :(

ViF - CD's are prehistoric. Ever heard of bandcamp where people....pay for mp3's they download? iTunes?

I actually had a guy pay more for the Coma Void album as a download than it would have cost him to buy the CD (including shipping) even though buying the CD of course comes with a download. Kids these days.

It's funny when people say things like this. mp3 is actually a prehistoric codec from the 90s that has long been surpassed by other codecs far superior to it. And yet people still insist on using it for some reason.

The Redbook Audio CD has not changed in decades, and will not change for a long time to come. It's the standard where nearly all music conforms to.

Same with Baptist.

Then again, I know a lot of people use that "pay as much" model to just straight up support an artist and just get something in return. You wouldn't have made as much if he just bought the CD, ya dig? Maybe he was being nice?

Jesus, who the hell pays for MP3s? I've given up on CDs because I prefer vinyl in the end (nothing to do with sound really, I like the bigger artwork, packaging etc) but come on - everyone still listens to MP3s! Who the hell walks around with a Discman/Walkman these days - okay wait, I suppose there is some guy from Portland, Oregon who does but they're not real people so they do not count.

Yeah, I like buying vinyl/cassettes solely because of the packaging and layouts....CDs? Wahttt? Even cars have AUX hookups these days.

OP, perhaps you can contact Rabidmadman for this. He's been itching to do some kind of project based on MA's database.
