Just wondering if there are any people like myself in this region. I seem to be the only metalhead in my town at least, amongst all of the mindless naives that wonder these parts.

Hey, I listen to the Tragically Hip. I don't judge. And St Kitts isn't far from me in Port Colborne. Just so flooded the region with ponzies, preps, jocks, pretty people and all that jazz. I guess that's anywhere really. But metalheads are few and far between here.

Two questions: what is a ponzie, and what's wrong with pretty people?

Maybe if you didn't judge people on how they look, you'd be surprised how many disguised metalheads are around.

The metal scene here is shit. I live next to the guy behind Wretchedpain, pretty bland death metal. Everyone I meet is usually into lame post-hardcore stuff and deathcore. Though I do know this one super gravelly voiced metalhead named Steve keepin' it real.

Crick knows what I mean by ponzies haha. I know Joey, he's a good dude but I'm not a fan of his music. He is doing quite good for himself though, I think they are touring in Europe or something.

Yeah, I dont think he's actually been home since I moved in here. He's been out touring for a long while, so yeah, he's certainly doing well. I've just heard better death metal is all, heh. Really, the area's general music culture seems to be more focused around indie and pop-oriented acts... Which is fine, I guess, everything's gotta find a home somewhere. But as far as metal goes, it isnt gonna grow very well in this town given what the local interest is like, not to mention the fact that we're a retirement town full of old people.

St Catharines is definitely Indie, or just full of hipsters. I do enjoy a night on St Paul st, but some of the people I just can't handle.

Been to Port Colborne? We have the highest amount of people over the age of 65 per capita here. I don't expect metal to take a home here, nothing else has other than our old folks. Generally in the region there is nothing for metal, no place to go chill or anything. Just hard finding like minded people here you know?

I used to live in Hamilton and Metal was happening.. mind you that's not exactly Niagara.. unless you had a super fast boat.
