I was driving home from work this afternoon and about 10 minutes from the house my entire front left wheel pops right off the car. Was stuck in the breakdown lane for about half an hour before AAA got there and towed it to the mechanic, who diagnosed it as the rim being pretty much on its last legs, leading to the lugs being loose and then breaking off. What he ended up doing was taking the rim from my spare wheel, put the old tire on it since the rubber was good but the rim was shot, and put that on the car, and it now runs smooth and fine with no vibrations or weird feelings. Thankfully he did it free of charge since I both bought the car from him back in July and he's been a friend of the family for a decade. Double thankfully there was no damage to the rotor aside from a superficial scratch due to sliding on the road surface.

:o Two of the lugs broke off? How did the rim effect that? Was it cracked or rusted out in the center? I had a similar issue many years ago when a rim was cracked by an incompetent tire-change guy using a pneumatic gun and over-torquing the nuts in a circle pattern rather than a star. Rims don't exactly go bad overnight, so I suspect that something was done wrong.

Two more fucking weeks and I'm done with this semester.
Well, kind of 3 but whatever. The last one will be dedicated to 2 astronomy classes, and that's kind of cool.

The rim itself was old, presumably as old as the car itself (I've got an 05 Escape), and it already had 100,000 miles on it so it just wore down over time I guess. The bearings were all worn down, the lugs were loose because of this, and they broke when the wheel popped off the side, and any attempt to salvage the rim itself was lost after the wheel skidded down the road on its side.

Girardi seems to be getting a lot of offers, of late. His work is almost ubiquitous or maybe it's just coincidence that I happen to check out those releases. I was reading an interview of a band I hadn't heard of, Chaos Inception, and I see the album cover and it had Girardi written all over it!

The new Vastum album art rules, but I can't quite say the same about all his work. Maybe 1 out of 3 or 4 of his album covers would strike me as interesting. The rest are pretty much derived from his other work.

Guess I'm a bit taller than average here. I'm 6'4", 210 pounds; not a whole lot of fat, thankfully (I wear size 30 jeans). I've worked out off and on since Sophomore year of high school, but only really ratcheted up my routine since December of 2012. I'm not really sure what my max is, as I mostly just use free weights and machines, rarely ever touching bars...

By the way, on a major tangent here but I can't help but rant a bit: ignore those idiots who say "fuck machines, FREE WEIGHTS 4 EVAR," because, honestly, machines provide some of the best isolation exercises you can possibly perform. I've had HUGE gains thanks largely to the wonder of machines.

5'5 and 150 lbs here. I wish at times I was more active when I was younger, because I'm about 30 lb overweight than I should be and about 4 inches shorter than most kids in my school, but since I'm approaching the age when I stop growing, there seems to be not more room left for me to gain anything.

6'3'' 200. Remember that most people lie about their height and shoe size on the internet, not so much their weight.

6'1, 207 lbs. I was up to 220 about a month ago and had to draw the line. Started waking up at 5am so I could work out before getting ready for work and did about 3 weeks of P90X and dropped 13lbs. Was gonna keep it going but my 5 month old decided to start waking up an hour earlier and there's no way I'm gonna wake up at 4am so I'm just gonna start back up once he goes back to sleeping later.

Was definitely crazy how much better I felt and how much extra energy I had once I got about 2 weeks in, def kept me motivated to continue, plus the fact that the results you can get from just sticking with that shit and doing the full 90 days are really impressive.

5'5, 150 lbs and 10% bf here. Going to try SL during the upcoming months and see how it goes - I want to put on at least 10-15 pounds of muscle before the end of next year.

I thought the cutoff for adult males to be below average height is 5'7", so you're still safe. Maybe more of a half-orc?

Besides, on BMI charts I'm still in the healthy weight range by .2 points. So there! Hah!

Well, that comment was somewhat in jest as a lot of research has suggested traditional BMI charts aren't very accurate. You sure as hell don't look obese, and I'd have to imagine you have some muscle from heavy lifting all day at work.

Yeah you'd think so but not so much  . It's more of a conditioning thing than anything else, also it affords me the ability to eat damn near anything I want and maintain a relative weight of 175 - 190. The lighter side being in the summer when I sweat my balls off all day long and obviously the heavier being in the winter when work slows down a bit. I still get the hernia esque feelings from time to time like say when the beef boxes get up over 100lbs.

I have two possible remarks to this:

1) Get back in the forge, bitch!

2) I guess no one would like someone saying that their mom got fucked by an orc.

Yeah, I've read most guys exaggerate their height by a full 3 inches. Christ, the insecurities. Although I guess I'm technically 6'3.5", but that's really just splitting hairs at that point.

I guess you all here are more familiar with american measures? (btw - the metric system rules!)

So, According to google, my 185 cm and 89 kg are exactly:
6.06955381 feet
196.211413 lbs

and while you talked about it earlier (page before), my deadlift of 115 kg and bench press of 85 kg are:
253,531602 lbs (deadlift, max 2-3 reps)
187,392923 lbs (bench press, also max 3 reps)

due to a little shoulder problem I'm a bit stuck in the bench press improvement and atm have to
get the shoulder "thing" done before training it again with more focus (atm only doing light
bench presses in my workouts at about 70 kg).

I've never been able to benchpress more than 225, and even then only a couple of reps, I don't know how some guys do it, honestly. This was back when I was in the best shape I've ever been, too. I just train chest with the dumbbells because I'm usually training alone anyway.

Necro and I are exactly the same height and weight. I may be around 155 because I used to do two a days - but never bulked up, but got wiry and POWERFUL.

Now all I do is smoke drink and sex. Lather. Rinse. Repeat.

I'm somewhere between 5"5 and 5"6... I consider it less a matter of being short, and more a matter of being able to pretend I'm "strong for my height" when I work out.

5'9" 130, and that's after gaining a bunch of muscle from working a physical job. I kid you not, when I was 18 I weighed about 110 soaking wet.
