Yeah... the vocals are not that good I'm afraid. I did not like those random in-between-the-main-vocals high pitched screams at the beginning of the vocals. The vocals are to deathcore-ish anyway. Actually, the whole song is far to deathcore-ish, and way to long for it's own good.

Mastering harsh vocals is a hard thing to do. I do awesome Black Metal-esque stuff, but low grunts just sound like shit... in a bad way.

Im pretty lame at death grunts. I can do most everything else with some level of proficiency, and I've never been taught or anything.

You know iTunes's Genius feature is bad when it creates a new mix called "Mainstream Rock" and it includes Sabbat, Ulysses Siren, Demolition Hammer, and Helstar. I mean, come on.

I'm actually pretty impressed that I can do anything without any professional training. Friends of mine have told me I have quite the stage persona as well. I can't do any kind of clean vox at all though

I remember it once filing Slipknot into a Black/Death playlist for me, and mixing Earth and Dover together to make a "Stoner Rock" playlist. :ugh:

I heard three new Six Feet Under songs today.

There were actual riffs.
There were blast beats.
It was not complete and utter shit.

Twas a promo sampler comrade, by Metal Blade; 'fraid I can't share. Barnes sounds terrible like usual; I did notice some guttural growls like those on Butchered on Birth, however.

PhilosophicalFrog wrote:

They did get a new lineup. Every left and Barnes got replacements, I think.

I hate it when people label deathcore with any trace of progginess as "prog/death". When I hear the term "prog/death", I'm expecting stuff like Disillusion, Akercocke and Augury, not deathcore with a bunch of synths and sweeps thrown in.

Night Creation slayed as usual and Havok slayed as well. Despite slaying on their own merits, after Havok's set ended I got a chant of "one more song" going which resulted in them playing 'Post Mortem' and 'Reign In Blood'. Needless to say, it slayed! The two punk bands which played before them were ok, but the second one was funny because the singer was drunk out of his mind and kept telling the crowd that he hated them but hoped to get lucky after the show.

I believe it's also known as "Steak and BJ Day", too.

Since I got neither pie, steak, nor a BJ, it was a waste of a day for me.

March 14th is exactly one month after Valentine's Day, and it's colloquially known as "Steak and BJ Day". Kind of like the male version of Valentine's Day.

There's got to be a link out there somewhere for this.

So up at school, the college's weird security system clashes with MA's forum code and doesn't allow me to even log in half the time, and I have a lot to say THOSE TIMES, but as soon as I get home for break I have nothing to add to almost any thread even though I can now log on very smoothly...

Except that Wolf is awesome. Legions of Bastards :metal:
