Admittedly, I missed that one.

Zelkiiro wrote:
Every website has people of ill repute making everyone else look bad. Even here. I remember a while back there being a bunch of "if it's not black or sludge or drone or crust it's bad and you should feel bad" mouthbreathers roaming about, and that's what sites like Encyclopedia Dramatica remember this place for. If you don't like 4chan because of its rotten apples, then why do you tolerate them here?

Who says those people were tolerated? Those who did it wrong weren't, and those who did right (without breaking the rules), bad apples or not, clearly weren't either (I refer to the use of the term "mouthbreather" here). But of course ED would remember them because they're fuel for the fire, much like 4chan is noted for its bad apples. The difference is, who here knows of an exemplary, "good" poster (by MA standards) on 4chan? I reckon it'd be difficult to find, since (and correct me if I'm wrong, by all means) 4chan doesn't look for or appeal to such posters. MA has good posters, MA has bad posters. 4chan has bad posters, and 4chan has... average, indifferent, unimportant posters? The greatest flaw I see here is really the assumption that 4chan = /b to a lot of people, but why are we to expect that their music or wallpaper or whatever posters are any better, when they don't make a difference on the rest of the internet? Alternatively, perhaps it's so that the rotten apples are remembered because of the effect they have on the rest of the internet? No one gives a fuck that the lower echelons of MA's posters dislike everything that isn't blackened crust-sludge, but people evidently do care that 4chan, well, sucks, since it has repercussions over the rest of the internet.

Zelkiiro wrote:
Why would I do that? Well, as for pictures, I am guilty of that urge, but turning around and going "lol trolled" isn't good trolling at all. If I wanted to troll, I wouldn't use that faulty routine.

As for this part, I was trying to end my post on a lighter note, simply having fun. I honestly didn't realise there were good and bad trolls, I'll leave such distinctions to the experienced... ;-)

I think I'm done here.

Seriously dude, you're being a dumbass. Yes, every website has their 'rotten apples'. 4chan is a website that specifically caters to rotten apples.

And 4chan is what keeps the rotten apples out of almost everywhere else.

Yea that's pretty much what I'm saying. You are more than welcome to your opinion and have no problem with you thinking differently. I'm not interested in converting you to my way of thinking or you doing the same to me. It's just as it stands which is why I supplied no reason to which I stated as such.

I rode a horse once when I was a kid. I don't feel safe riding on the back of an animal that probably doesn't want me there.

Metantoine would show up already bare chested, and with a cold 6 pack as a token of good sportsmanship. Failsafe would take one look at him and mercilessly gun him down, spouting a one liner as he does it.

True revelations: my temp agency dumped me a while back without telling me, but ended up being involved with the company where I found a new job on my own, so they get a cut of my pay despite having dropped me as an employee and having provided no service.

Primordial's The Mouth of Judas is becoming one of my favourite metal ballads. The singing over the solo at 4:21, just wow. And the climax, oh god. :metal:

It's a fairly well-known picture on the internet. You'll likely find a whole heap of album covers (mostly from pornogrind bands) featuring similarly infamous pictures, like goatse and lemonparty and such.

I hung out around 4chan off and on for about a year. Every good joke is repeated too often, and everyone there either bitches about everything or trolls nonstop. Actual discussion is borderline impossible. I don't miss the place.

Really the only time the place is tolerable is if you go there at like, 3am or something.

It's near impossible to find a shop selling snuff where I live (and I suspect many parts of Canada) but I've always been curious to try it. A few years back I bought some stuff labeled as snuff in this store in a shitty little redneck asshole of a town but it turned out to be chewing tobacco. Figured I'd give it a shot since I paid money for it but unsurprisingly, chewing tobacco fucking sucks.

I'm hoping to see them in May. For now I'm considering seeing them in Manchester but with the way things are working out with my parents going on holiday to Mexico in May, I might be better off seeing them in London, even though that will mean my friend can't see them live. I refuse to miss their show, especially when Hell are supporting them.

As for 4chan, eh, apart from the odd joke or two from them, can't say I'm a fan of the site overall.

FUCK yes! This wondrous slab of heartfelt, painfully poignant metal, is starting to rival steadfast classics such as The Soul Must Sleep, Autumn's Ablaze, Gallows Hymn and the ever magnificent The Coffin Ships. Full of bitterness and sorrow, laden with hard won wisdom. Been listening to this album a lot, and it's growing on me more every day. I also think that the closer,
Death Of The Gods is fast becoming a solid favourite - and the glorious title track.

I was saddened by the lack of praise for that particular song until now. One of the best songs I have heard from them. But truly this album is a grower if there ever was one. I had no initial response to most of the songs for quite a while, but slowly they are opening up to me. Case in point, Bloodied yet unbowed was a track I would often skip but now it is fast catching up to to the fore mentioned as my favorite of the entire album. Classic Primordial situation.

I totally agree with above posters. The album left me pretty cold when it was released, but it tugged me back again and again, and grew to be a fantastic album on par with "The Gathering Wilderness" and "To the Nameless Dead".

Totally addicted to the Puscifer album "Conditions of my parole", some of the best music I've heard in a long while! Amazing stuff.

Hahah black metal bands fucking love this song, and for good reason! If you haven't heard Countess' rendition its sufficiently awesome. I was going to try to link you but it isn't on youtube. It's on Burning Scripture, which at this point I think I'd have to say is my favorite. I'm glad Orlok has pretty much given over to making full-on trad/power metal.

Listened to Warlock's Hellbound on the way into work this morning. First time ever hearing Doro. She's fucking awesome but its a bummer how buried the riffing is. Overall it seems like a pretty serviceable pop-metal kind of album. Like Defenders of the Faith with the speed ratcheted up a notch or two.

Onslaught's The Force is still my favorite thrash album ever. Holy gods does that album ever slay everything in its path. I don't even know how it's so good - the riffs, vocals and everything else just come together in some magical, alchemical thrashing perfection that I can't deny.
