http://www.stonehengefestival.nl

Pestilence, Asphyx, Grave, Gruesome, Suffocation are among the headliners.

Why do they call it Stonehenge Festival when it is >8 hrs away from the Stonehenge historical site?

That's because it's a play on words on the city it's held in: Steenwijk. Steen = stone in Dutch, add the henge yourself ;) . It's one of the oldest (surviving) underground outdoor metal festivals in Holland, in 2014 the festival held it's 20th anniversary, I've posted some of the reviews in the Live Reviews section. I've been to every edition of this small metal festival since 2011(at first 600 visitors, since 2015 some 2,000). Since two years there are two equal sized stages outside, before that there was a small outdoor one and an even smaller indoor one. Killer line up!! Not just the ones you mentioned, but also Grave, Hate Eternal, D.R.I., Firespawn, Dead End, Avulsed, Cliteater and Skeletonwitch.

Pinnacle in my agenda for years to come ;)

its kinda a cult festival which is apparent considering how stacked the bill always is when compared to the size of it.
I've never been able to go myself but i've always been meaning to go.

Avulsed would be great to see. Thanks for the reply, herrieman72.
It'd be a great companion fest to one of the longer 4-day ones. I want to tie this in to Brutal Assault but they are 2 weeks away. For folks going to Wacken on the following weekend, I think this would be worth going to since it would be a few hour drive from Germany.

Nice small festival. Tiny chance I'll be there because I probably can't make it around that time. Though I've enjoyed a couple of editions.
