Copy/paste, might need to reformat them a bit from what I saw. Click on the song titles and it takes you to a page with their lyrics:

Done for the first 3 releases, still the other 2 though, it takes some time to re format the lyrics, so tommorow ill complete the work, so it can be done the right way.

Edit: Done for the rest.

Today I was adding some lyrics for Venom covers on various bands and I have a small question concerning Countess from Holland

On their page its written "DO NOT! add any lyrics, as it is the wish of Countess, all lyrics are available only at the Barbarian Wrath. If you find any, please report it ASAP!"

Is it also valid for COVER SONGS? There are a few covers in Countess albums (Venom, Manowar, Alastis)

I can understand he does not want his lyrics published anywhere but he has absolutely no (copy)rights on other bands songs.

So just to know if its OK to add lyrics for the cover songs or not

First of all, you should add lyrics only if you are sure that the cover version lyrics are the same that in original version. Some bands make instrumental covers or may change the lyrics. For example, this band makes covers with Russian lyrics. To me this kind of searching "Venom cover" in the song titles and copying the lyrics looks more like point-whoring.

I'm always careful when I add the lyrics, I always check the notes as well... now its not always easy to be 100% sure.

It's written instrumental I won't add lyrics, same if its in a different language like in russian or german or whatever

Now if a band changes the lyrics, it should not appear as a cover song.... or it should written "different version/lyrics" something like that since its not a "real" cover

Now for Countess for example covering Manowar song, here's a proof its not an instrumental cover http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-NZVjS1IHY

You don't need to prove that Countess hasn't changed lyrics, I mean more obscure bands, because there were cases when the lyrics were added for instrumental covers etc.
As for Countess, I think if they don't want the lyrics to be listed here, you shouldn't add them even for covers, people always can check the lyrics on the page of the original band. Though I wouldn't mind if other mods think that they could be added.

I found these scans for this release: http://metal-archives.com/release.php?id=206477

The lyrics are in Russian and English.. I am unable to read either due to the font. Maybe someone else can?

Hey can someone add Lyrics to Colossus(USA)

, and the rift of the pandimensional undergods....?

None of their lyrics have ever been released and someone should write it down.

I have alot of CD's for thrash bands (some of which aren't widely known at all), so I'll gladly go fill in some lyrics. I'm bored.

Has anybody got lyrics from Demo of Slo Burn band? There are 5 songs on this CD and I've found lyrics only for first three. Fourth and fifth song "Round Trip" and "Snake Hips" haven't got them. I would be grateful if somebody could find them.

Ughhh, that has so many difficult characters. I'll add the first two songs for now.

This might help some of you without Cyrillic keyboards with transcribing Russian lyrics:

First of all, you should add lyrics only if you are sure that the cover version lyrics are the same that in original version. Some bands make instrumental covers or may change the lyrics. For example, this band makes covers with Russian lyrics. To me this kind of searching "Venom cover" in the song titles and copying the lyrics looks more like point-whoring.

A great example for this is the Witchfynde cover of Paint it Black, which I added the lyrics to myself. This song misses the whole last verse of the Stones version.

And completely agree on the point whoring thing. If you don't have the version of the song, leave it alone. Some point whore edited the lyrics of Diamond Head's Four Cuts EP version of Shoot Out the Lights. This later rerecorded version has different lyrics than the earlier, more well known single version, yet the lyrics listed on the archives here are the same as the single version.

Added lyrics for:

Legacy of Pain - S/T EP
Oblige - Expectants

And....drumroll...

Crowbar - Sever the Wicked Hand.

By the way - I know that the official MA policy regarding adding lyric is adding them as they are in the booklet - including the typos and grammatical errors that may or may not appear. However, when this case gets as severe as this (by a band from the US, mind you) - just pick a random song and count how many "(sic)'s" are in it - should the typos still be kept for the lols, or corrected for the sake of intelligence?

That's disgusting.

I think for sanity's sake, it's worth correcting some typos that hamper readability. I'd only leave a typo uncorrected if there's a chance it was intended to be written like that (e.g., Death Metal bands who write "cum" instead of "come". Portal is also a good example... "Vint-age", "Wership Thee", etc)

To me, including typos like "citys" is kind of abusing the law of verbatim... what does anybody else think?

Piotr, as a mod, can you resolve the typos dilemma overhead?

I'm not sure.
Two version will be ok I think.
One "original" and one "correct".
There is place for this so why don't use it?

May I ask if it is legal to add copyrighted lyrics for an album? I know Cauldron Born and Briton Rites lyrics, for example, are copyrighted for sure but they are online for some reason.

So lately I've decided to re-rip my entire collection, checking the booklets and completing some lyrics for the database as a part of the process.

Here's what I've managed to complete so far (will be updated if I'd run into some more):

1. Dark Trance - Beyond the Gates of Insanity - the booklet contained lyrics for only one track.
2. Eibon/Hangman's Chair split - again, only the Hangman's Chair lyrics were in the booklet.
3. Evoken/Beneath the Frozen Soil split - the Beneath the Frozen Soil lyrics were missing, so I've added those.
4. Fistula - Burdened by Your Existence
5. Horrors of the Black Museum - Gold from the Sea
6. Malicious Death - War and Power
7. Moksha - Ansium
8. Oktor - All Gone in Moments
9. Corrupted - Se Hace Por Los Suenos Assesinos - added the official translations
10. Monarch! - Dead Men Tell No Tales - added the partial lyrics for "Dead Men Tell No Tales (Spoken Version)" as appear in the booklet.
11. Deathcrawl - The End is Not Near Enough
12. Lunglance - Vigie Dalusa
13. Electrozombies - He Visto - I've submitted the lyrics as they appear on the booklet, that is - without acutes and with some tildas (could be just grain mistaken as one though)
14. Raw Radar War - ==
15. Bloody Panda - Pheromone - only the English lyrics
16. Sol - Let There Be a Massacre
17. Aguirre - Calvaire
