http://www.metal-archives.com/news/view/id/243

as far as I could search, there's no thread on that... and while the announcement is well-written, there's still a lot left untouched... as I've already had debates with other users, could you perhaps give clear(er) guidelines on unofficial links for "small"/obscure/really old bands? real files sites ok? youtube links ok? preferred? shall both be kept if they're both available? in the case of youtube, are playlists/"full album"s preferred to individual songs? bear in mind that I'm talking about bands with maybe one album and some demos... sometimes just the one-song promo.

are last.fm links still acceptable if it's absolutely the only thing available and it's individual to the band (and not "multiple "artists" with the same name bunched together")?

if I come across an unofficial website, in a language other than english, that includes bio/info and files, what do I do? file a report for someone to translate and add the bio/info? is it okay to still link the site anyway so visitors/users can access the files?

thanks for your time and any replies.

case in point, http://www.metal-archives.com/history/v ... d/id/96498 Murmur_666 deleted the guitarist's myspace page from the links. I'd argue that, being (1) official and (2) the only available way to contact the band, it could have stayed...
