So a little while ago I came across this new Progressive Rock/Metal band by the name of BEING.
More specificly, their cover of Symphony of Science's A Glorious Dawn
And while I found it a bit iffy at first, due to its unorthodox style, it quickly grew to become one of my favorite songs. And it was the first time I heard a song that really revolved around a scientific topic, and it sparked my long awaited interest in science.

I subsequently listened to several of their other songs, such as Arcane Academic, DNA and Cosmonaut. And along with the fresh take on Prog. Metal I also found lyrics not only about science, but also revolving around philosophy regarding science and reason contra superstition, the progress of the individual, of mankind, etc. All wrapped in a very cosmologic sound (but now I'm just gushing).

This discovery also introduced me to Symphony of Science itself, a musical project that takes the voices of famous scientists like Carl Sagan, Stephen Hawking, Michio Kaku, Neil deGrasse Tyson, etc. and sets it to music in order to make beautiful tunes with educating lyrics about various science-related topics. Be it about quantum theory, the theory of relativity, the colonization of Mars, the wonders the universe and how we are built, or just the general awesomeness of science and various other subjects.

These lyrics have fascinated me immensely, and made me thirst for more of similar character.

And that is why I am making this thread.
I wonder if anyone here knows of any similar projects that has lyrics that revolve around these lyrics. Science and the progress of mankind.
It can be Metal, but it can also be any other type of music, so long as it's enjoyable and has lyrics that fits to these themes.

definitely neuraxis - tho' you'll have to go read the lyrics since the vocals are quite undecipherable most of the time

Dark Fortress' song Ylem touches on the theme somewhat.
