I'll assume you're after the purely ambient side of these bands? Try Moloch (Ukr), a BM one-man band who also releases some purely ambient albums.

Spanish project ov Mhurn:

or maybe Winternacht. No YT samples, but check the bottom two tracks in this music player page of the Dungeons Deep label:

Though not really that similar in style, I suppose you could also enjoy the whole dungeon-synth genre. It's a somewhat more gloomy and desolate (not in a "noisy" way like Dark Ambient!) branch of ambiental, electronic music. Early Mortiis (up to "The Stargate"), Wongraven, the early December's Fire stuff, Gothmog (not the BM band of same name), Forgotten Pathways are just a few names I drop here. A great list can be found here if you are interested:

Here are a few sample songs to see for yourself if it suits your taste:

I've actually started to compile a list of these winter/ice/nature synth releases, in the vein of that Dungeon Synth blog. It is by no means complete, but take a look at:

http://wintersynth.blogspot.co.uk/2012/ ... eases.html

Another rec - possibly the best ambient album released by a BM artist: "Die Festung" by Paysage d'Hiver. A fantastic album, very reminiscent of the Berlin School of electronics (Tangerine Dream, Ashra etc.):

Thanks! I thought it was about time someone did it.

Another rec for the OP:

Хладогорье (Hladogorie) from Russia. They only released one 3 track EP, but it's fantastic, falling somewhere between the winter/nature stuff and Dungeon Synth.

coming back to Vinterriket - I assume, you (iloveblackmetal already listened to his sideproject Nebelkorona?

@Balbulus: now we also need a list of bombastic, uprising fantasy synth music - which is which I personally love best.
Unfortunately there aren't really bands or albums full of songs like THIS ,
so I could only come up with a list full of single songs from various sources (metal band intros, 90s rpg game scores, 80s fantasy movies etc)

edit: I looked for a way to subscribe to your blog but couldn't find a button...

You're welcome to explore my YT playlist about dark ambient (you'll find similar stuff to Lustre):

Do you happen to know of anything that sounds like Lustre's songs "Amongst The Trees" or "This Mighty Sight"?

You could try Hecq's Nightfalls

That song is alright I suppose, though as background music to me. It doesn't really have resemblance to Lustre, though.

I've just discovered a band that fits the bill perfectly - Basarabian Hills from Moldova. It's the closest thing to Lustre I've ever heard; essentially Ambient Black Metal with the BM element virtually non-existant. Great stuff.
