Hey guys, recently started listening to some post-metal and post-black, and I can't help but love it. Ambiance is always an extra bonus on top of it as well.
What are your recommendations?

Toundra's III is my personal favorite post-metal of the year. I think you'll love it if you are into Russian Circles.
As for post-black, I recommend Lake of Blood and Altar of Plagues.

Also, make sure to take a quick look through the related sticky: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=89944

For post-black you might like Vattnet Viskar: http://vattnetviskar.bandcamp.com/

Les Discrets is an absolute must. The emotional depth they carry is breathtaking, it's an incredibly honest combination of deep, aching sorrow, love, and a touch of hope: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tvcgBgb8o0Q

Alcest is pretty good too, like Les Discrets but not as dark and with real Black metal influences.

Seconding Altar Of Plagues.
Does Woods Of Desolation count?

Alcest's Le Secret is essential, really a special piece of music. repetitive, ethereal, and otherworldly. Their later stuff gets more into shoegaze territory.

Lantlos's .neon is great, as is their first LP which is a bit more straight to the point.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yEj-p7UFsD0

Bosse-De-Nage's lastest LP III is great. Aspects of post-rock as well as alt rock and other influences.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VawC2gpjy9k

Lifelover's Erotik mixes post-punk and even pop influences. Very depressive.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3mWnGo-k-Gc

Cania's Temporary Antennae is all over the place, but should definitely have something you'd like.

for ease's sake, here's a track from a different album that should be more accessible.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kJZYtyiuUZc

Forgotten Woods's Curse of Mankind. Considered one of the first crosses between post-punk and black metal, definitely worth a try although might be a bit more raw/typical sounding then what you're after.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pqXCzJKzeUE

Deafheaven's Roads to Judah. One of the more "popular" acts of this style, they epitomize it well and do an excellent job at creating powerful, emotive music.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bOH_ORa0po4

These two are a bit more out there.

Circle of Ouroborus's Eleven Fingers. Very murky, but great piece of post-punk/black metal that takes a few listens to get used to.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ueXC5om6mA

Ash Borer's s/t. Not really post-black metal, but has lots of ambiance and very atmospheric, should give it a shot. (don't bother with their new album as it's not too good).

Seconding Altar of Plagues, Les Discrets, Woods of Desolation, Alcest, Lantlos, Fen, October Falls and Agalloch.

You should really check out An Autumn for Crippled Children. Its like God is an Astronaut gone metal.

And for atmospheric sludge check out Neurosis, Isis, Cult of Luna, Pelican, Rosetta, Callisto, Mouth of the Architect, Omega Massif and Battle of Mice. All of them have great ambience.

If you don't mind DSBM vocals check out Heretoir. Post-black with lots of piano.

I'm gonna end it now. If you like anything I'll rec you later based on that
