Any album/band recommendations that have a sound somewhat similar to Sepultura's Morbid Visions, dirty and extremely evil sounding death/thrash metal.

Some fellow Brazilians, the first Sarcófago album and the first Vulcano album.

Then you might be interested in these:

Protector - A Shedding of Skin
Possessed - everything
Sadus - Illusions
Slaughter - Strappado

And maybe try the debut albums of Sodom and Kreator.

And check out early Beherit, like "The Oath of Black Blood".

Let me know what you think of those suggestions, then maybe we can further narrow down what you have in mind.

EDIT: As a dumb bonus I'll also throw in Sepultura's "Schizophrenia". ;)

I have to second those Possessed and Slaughter mentions. Strappado and Seven Churches are pretty much my two most favorite death metal albums.

All the bands I could think of at the moment:
Savage Death - Mass Genocide Demo (oldest school proto death metal from 85')
*Anything put out by Terminal Death before 1997 (first wave of Malaysian Death metal, not quite so thrashy but very "blunt" and "viscous")
Any Rator stuff (the full length has the 1990 demo on it)
Sextrash - Sexual Carnage (it's early brazilian death/thrash... if you like Morbid Visions you'll probably like it)
Terminal Death (what a great name...) - Faces Of Death Demo (see Savage Death but add more spite and bloodlust)
Voor - Evil Metal Demo (same as Savage Death except more thrashy)
Either of Vomitor's First Two Albums (sounds similar to Spear Of Longinus before The Yoga of National Socialism... because they play some of the same songs and share some members with S.O.L.)
Sadistik Exekution - The Magus (Just trust me and check it out)
N.M.E. - Unholy Death (if you like Slaughter then you have to check this 1986 gem out)
Parabellum - Tempus Mortis (a comp. album with all of their eighties material... words can't describe the guitar tone)
The Unsane - Inverted Crosses EP (thrashy and deathy thrash/death from 88... bear in mind that the first album is utter shit and should be avoided)
Patecabra - El Horror (peruvian death/thrash with super shit production that worshipped Sepultura and co. so hard it might as well give them a writing credit on the album)
Megaslaughter - Calls From Beyond (eh, it's a personal favorite of mine...)
Anything (and I mean anything) by Sadistic Noise (80's/early 90's stuff is oldschool death/black stuff with a wild grindcore spirit and the album is pure death metal violence)
Necrodeath - Into The Macabre (running out of things to say at this point... it's death/thrash from 1987!)
Mutilator - Immortal Force (see Sextrash)
Merciless - The Awakening (prepare to be bowled over with THRASH)
They don't really fit, but no one mentions Kvikksølvguttene here EVER damnit! They're fucking badass!
Graf Spee - Reincarnation (Obscure Death/thrash/black/whatever metal from 1989...)
Genocídio - Self Titled EP from '88 (more Brazilian stuff)
Brain Dead - From The Estacy (another personal favorite...)

Oh, and...

FUCKING MESSIAH!!!

Now for sleep...

EDIT: *I meant Silent Death
EDIT 2: Fixed The Unsane debut EP link

Wow, nice list Loki! Going to be checking out a few of those myself.

Among the ones mentioned...

Num Skull - Future - Our Terror
Bastard Priest - Demo (Was just released 08')
Inquisitor - Walpurgis - Sabbath of Lust

Hmm, I can think of more, but i'm not sure whether or not you're well versed on the genre.

This is how a Reccomendation thread should look.

I second Sexual Carnage (by Sextrash), one of my favourites of that dark, raw, filthy Brazilian style.

A BIG thanks to LokiGoddess for putting all those links, and also to severed_metal and Muloc7253 for having their thoughts. It will take some time to figure out all from the list (I'm going through few album reviews right now), but anyways, thank you guys :)
