Pure genius if you ask me, I'm looking for the more obscure bands as I know most of the big ones. Any suggestions?

Try Oak (USA):

I did a review for their album and I also own their album on LP. Rune has more melody than Oak, and also is a fuckload faster in that "Wilt" song than Oak ever get (if I remember correctly). However, I still think you may like Oak. Nothing is more bleak and dark than Oak if you ask me.
