I like the Incantation sound and the bands that play in this style like Vasaeleth, Dead Congregation etc. I'm looking for old school bands that play this style please.

also i recomand bands like deteriorot, dominus xul, funebrarum, hibernus mortis or ignivomous.

Seconded. Check out Ignivomous' Death Transmutation for some tight dark and haunting death metal. One of the most talented new death metal band from Australia.

Thanks for the recs, Deteriorot and Disciples of Mockery were what I'm looking for. I also like Funebrarum (knew them prior to this thread).

For an Incantation sound you could try Cemetery Urn, also from Australia.
Almighty Sathanas have a (slightly) similiar vibe to Dead Congregation.
My favourite old school death metal album of recent years, One With the Dead by Graveyard (Ita).

Decrepitaph are basically early Incantation with a more Swedish guitar tone. Definitely look into them. Also possibly Putrevore and Denial (Mex) but those might be a bit of a stretch.

you might like my band, Angeldeath. We have a more Floridian-based old school DM aesthetic, like Morbid Angel and Deicide, but we're from NY and Suffocation and Incantation are big influences of mine.

Other bands you might like:

1. Cemetery Urn - fucking awesome; fast, groovy, blistering. all around a totally solid band

2. Burial Invocation - deeeep haunting heavy death metal. this band sounds like what I imagine a noxious sepulchre to smell like, kinda.

3. Impetuous Ritual - takes Incantations sound to greater extremes, wayyyy heavy, slow doom shit, and crazy blistering blastbeats. Have a really unique vibe to them
