Worth a curiosity gander since it is uniquely weird, but it is just nonsense so you don't need multiple doses of it.

What do you mean by "good move"? You listen to it, or don't. What's the worst that could happen? You find out you like it or don't like it.

I said that because i didn't know that their songs had torture sessions at recording,so i didn't know if was wrong or right to listen.

I want to get into Finnish black metal, could someone give me a 'starter pack' with some essential albums to start with? :)
For reference, I am very into norwegian black metal, USBM and a little swedish, ukrainian and german.

I'm no expert, but some of my favorites include:

Beherit - Drawing Down the Moon
Impaled Nazarene - Ugra-Karma
Hail - Inheritance of Evilness
Cosmic Church - Ylistys
Musta Surma - Kaiken pyhän raunioilla
Sargeist - Satanic Black Devotion
Raate - Sielu, Linna
Warmoon Lord - Burning Banners of the Funereal War
Vargrav - Netherstorm
Horna - Ääniä yössä
Archgoat - Whore of Bethlehem
Thy Serpent - Forests of Witchery

The list is pretty varied from lo-fi black metal to grand symphonic black metal, and stuff in-between.

And I'll add Moonsorrow's "Verisäkeet" as well, although most would probably not consider this a black metal album. But man, if you want some atmospheric and progressive folk/pagan/black metal, this is it. Perfection!

Like this?

Don't sleep on Devouring Star, especially their debut album Through Lung and Heart is an exceptionally good piece with crushing atmosphere and unique thematic narrative. The second album is more standard black metal, but worth listening to as well. Personally, Through Lung and Heart is my most highly rated Finnish black metal release:

Hi folks. I'm trying to remember a band and one specific song. I think they were Russian and formed this century. The song that I remember had prominent keyboard playing the main melody in a fairly stacato way as kind of a solo and for ye musicians it went something like, 4/4 B, D, F#, , A, D, a, , A, D, b-a, D, b-a, D, C#

I reckon you’ll have better luck if you make some kind of recording, I find it impossible to parse any rhythm from what you wrote.

On another news:
New Psicósfera is out, don’t miss it!

Good suggestions up there. I add:

Sargeist - Let the Devil In is the easiest to start; Disciple of the Heinous Path and Unbound also personal favourites
Aegrus - all of it
Malum (not the Norwegian) - I love all of it, but they progressed immensely after Crowned with the Serpent Sun
Korgonthurus
Horna of course
Alghazanth - this is "majestic BM", but I love it. Vinum Intus, The Three-Faced Pilgrim, Wreath of Thevetat
Diaboli - strictly the older stuff, before the NSBM shit. Start with The Antichrist
Lathspell - longer darker songs
Sarastus - a bit of black 'n' roll here and there but fine
And: Sarkrista, who may be German but are totally True Finnish BM!

In fact, I'd like more like Aegrus and Malum. Difficult to find!

I want something like Inquisition (heavy, layered, catchy riffs), but without the CP/Nazi suspect elements. Particularly something that sounds like their first two albums.

I can't think of too many bands that sound like Inquisition, but maybe you could find what you're looking for in Archgoat: try 'Worship the Eternal Darkness'.

Besides Immortal, which doesnt actually sound that similar, there is this russian band that worshipped Inquisition quite a bit but i forgot their name. I'm afraid Inquisition is as unique as it gets

Yeah Immortal doesn't really have the same vibe. I guess Inquisition's sound is hard to replicate.

Really late response, but surprised nobody mentioned Azaghal. They are one of the best and have only gotten better over 12 albums and a ton of killer EPs and splits too

Heard this album Renewal Through Purification from Tyrmfar a while ago. Excellent melodic black metal. These solid chainsaw guitars, thick vocals and melodies have me by the balls. Any recommendations in that style, please?

I saw them live earlier this year. Great live show. But the albums somehow feel less good than the concert. It's one of those "nearly there" bands for me.

Wait, what about Ride For Revenge (Finland)? The latest, live archival 2015, is a good one
to start with (and I typically ignore Live records....):

i'd like some bm acts like nyktalgia, especially in the vein of the self titled album.

i like the depressive atmosphere with some fast moments here and there.

thanks in advance!

I’m looking for some good raw black metal.

I’m really into Forgotten Woods, and was hoping for some recommendations.

I'm looking for some more black metal in the vein of the new Worm tracks on the Starpath split album--I've heard the big names in symphonic/melodic black metal, Emperor, Dissection, Sacramentum, early Cradle of Filth, etc--so I'd be interested in either forgotten gems or new acts that have prominent lead guitar and synths in equal measure. More atmospheric stuff is a bonus too.

Basically, Worm is a death-doom metal with black metal elements (vocals and synths). Is that what you're looking for ? Or you prefer black metal recommendations ?

Is there a heavyned black metal band similar to the "I - Between Two Worlds" album? Basically clear produced upbeat straight heavy metal riff fest with black metal vocals?
Everywhere I look the "similar artist" recommendations start going Demonaz, Abbath or Immortal just because it's the same guys, but nope... They don't sound similar at all.
Anything ACTUALLY similar to that?

This album is pretty unique and I never found anything that sounds exactly like that, but you can find quite similar vibes in Vreid, or look for blackened heavy metal bands like Nite or stuff like that.

You Sir, are looking for Sarke!
Big names in the genre have performed throughout their 7 album run.
Listen chronologically, I'm not spoiling anything.
Enjoy.

Looking for some symphonic black metal on the atmospheric side with keyboards with a strong gothic touch. Kinda like black metal mixed in with Tristania's debut album. Anything like that?

Ephemer - Notre Honneur Immortel
Cosmic Church - Ylistis

If you don't screen for politics then Kaevum is the ideal answer alongside Drudkh's Autumn Aurora.

Is there black metal that is more concise, and more straightforward?
I find that it can become a long droning without much variety.

For instance I like the first few minutes of:
Kvist - MM Lekam Er Meg Blott En Byrde

I would like more stuff like that.

The style that Kvist is plying is similar to Satyricon's The Shadowthrone.

You'd probably enjoy The Eternal Fanfare, an EP by Hulder. not a full album length which is a curse or a blessing depending on your tastes, but it's got a similar feel to it, and avoids drone pretty well. Reue is a Melodic Black album by Leipa that offers some fantastic black metal, it's a little more different from your example though. Hope this helps!
