Here are two albums you should enjoy...

I'm looking for something like this - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_mwLQnvMus8

Not too serious, not misanthropic or depressive, just fun, mysterious and occult themed black metal. Nothing emotionally heavy.

Thank you guys ! I don't have a good cell phone internet connection right now but will try later those. I appreciate it.

For my part I highly recommend "Vampyr - Throne of the Beast" by Black Funeral.

A must listen of burzum worship without being a rip off

I like other BTC bands such as Volahn or Odz Manouk (MA puts them on the similar artists list) but i think Arizmenda has a very different style from those..
favorite tracks that can be the most useful reference to what i search: ''Desperation in the Sky'', ''Deny the disease of life'', ''Those Beaten paths of confussion'', ''embrace beauty in your arms and slit her throat''
His lyrics are also very strange and cryptic, i read them many times and they make me think a lot, anybody who likes arizmenda a lot too has experienced this too?
thanks

Give these a shot, most of this stuff is pretty unlistenable but that's half the fun, right?! A mixed bag but hopefully you can find something worthwhile here.

Trying to remember the name of an album/band: The album came out recently, maybe within the past 3-5 years; I remember the album art being a painting of either some monolithic structure underwater, or it was a something large being swallowed by waves...lots of blues, lighter greens, and white. I remember the music being a sort of murky, melodic black metal. Maybe the band was German?

Anyone know of any 2nd wave inspired black metal acts who are anti post black metal, lyrically wise or in general?

Everything other than "black" metal suggests Sulphur Aeon, and honestly that could be either of their album covers, but probably leaning more toward the debut.

Yeah, murky and melodic would definitely describe the music.

Great guesses, but not the album in question. Sulphur Aeon was my initial guess, too.

So a bro recently introduced me to Ygg and I've been enjoying the shit out of it, the jew harp sections really adds something unique to the atmosphere. I remember Neige et Noirceur using it in one song but not much else besides that. If anyone could recommend black metal that uses jew harp that'd be swell.

Sunken maybe? The music description sounds about right. If not check it out anyway, awesome album....

So, I'm very much in the mood for black metal with an autumn feel. The track 'Eternal Turn Of The Wheel' by Drudkh portrays exactly what I am looking for.

Preferably raw, fuzzy black metal. I hate clean sounding black metal.

Thanks for the recommendation, but I'm familiar with this band and it misses the mark, sadly. I'm really not feeling Chinese black metal :)

Hi, now that is a good recommendation. I've heard every single one of them. That comes closer to what I'm searching for.
To give more detail: The opening sound of this track is exactly what I look for. Autumn melancholy, fuzzy, harmonic riffing.

Vials Of Wrath - Days Without Names is a pretty autumnal album, though may be too polished for you. It's one of my favorites of 2015 though.

Yeah. Instead it's some kind of cosmic, satanic religious thing.

The lyrics are quite interesting, because it's not your usual evil satanic thing at all. It just sounds like poetry from a deeply religious guy. Great music. Such a shame the band is going to be defunct after the final album comes out next year.

Yeah, you're right. Not really my sound.

Besides my request above here, I'm also looking for bands that have riffs like the very first one this guy plays.

How awesome is this riff?!

Sounds like Prevalent Resistance and the first couple Baptism albums.

Lots of bands have roughly that guitar style, though.

Not asking anyone for help this time, but I just felt like stating how underappreciated Tardigrada actually is. I mean, listen to this:

Hey guys, looking for help trying to find a band that seemed to be aping Sargiest Let the Devil In sound quite a bit. I recall there being some piano involved and somber sections. I think it came out within the last year or two if I remember correctly. Thanks for the help!

edit: Any bands that are similar to Sargeist melodic fuzzy riffing style are of course welcome and appreciated as well.

This is related to black metal bands so someone here might know: are Vermapyre and/or Oede racist or nazi bands? I'm curious cause some things seem to point that way, but I'd really rather have them not be either of those. Just curious, thanks!
