OK I'm gunna state this first and foremost, I'm NOT looking for lyrical content, ONLY the sound of it. Im fine with fully instrumental.

I'm looking for very epic metal with the feeling of (nuclear or astronomical [by asteroid, meteor, or other stellar disaster]) armageddon. the theme song ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jCA5f-kBcxs ) with metal elements, or the beginning of Into Battle by Ensiferum ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=agrx2baUsvA ) with metal elements would be some examples.

Pretty much the sound of 'epicness' in a despair-like or intense/action/thriller-like kind of like ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Obwv46FHr8Y ) at 0:32-0:38 will do, too.

It may seem like im being picky, but really, anything in that realm would work.

edit: links all work now

Damn, so I'll step my Kalisia recommendation...

My conception of Apocalyptic music is like "In Tenebris" from Rhapsody, but, by hearing your stuff, I would recommend Epica or the song "Aeternalux" from Aquaria.

I'm not sure if this is quite what you're looking for...but when you said the words 'asteroid' and 'stellar' I immediately though of the US band Martriden.

The new album 'Encounter the Monolith' is very sci-fi asteroid-smashing extreme Arthur Clark metal.

Here is their page:

And I believe I may have even reviewed this.

Best of luck, and an interesting request!
