I'm looking for bands that kind of fit in between many different genres in todays mainstream metal world. I'm talking about bands like lamb of god, devildriver, and machine head. Personally whenever asked about their genre i end up going well........its kinda groove metal but kinda thrash.maybe a bit of metal core? This is probably a horrible way to explain exactly what i'm looking for but i did my best. Maybe the best way to explain it is i want more bands with lamb of gods pure american metal sensibilities.

Note- Doesn't have to be mainstream but the cleaned up production style is preferred.

LoG aren't pure American metal, that's silly.

But I would probably try out Shatter Messiah. Not American, but heavy and loud all the same.

I'm sure you just forgot to mention them, but Shadows Fall fits the bill.

I just listened to one of their songs and they sound great! I'm surprised considering i find most power metal boring. I definitely have to check them out.
