I'm looking for some Black/Death metal with pretty heavy crust influences or even just any kind of punk.

Any good Crossover Thrash would be fine too.

Municipal Waste___________Hotbild
Disrupt__________________Nausea
Iskra____________________Dystopia
Disflesh__________________Skitsystem

Another Oppressive System__Aus Rotten
Axegrinder________________D.R.I
Desolation________________Dissent
Doom____________________Nux Vomica
Nuclear Assault____________Tolar
Bolt Thrower______________Darkthrone
Nuclear Death Terror_______Black September
Sacrilege_________________Crude S.S.
Uncurbed_________________Wolfbrigade/Wolfpack
Oral_____________________To What End?
Filth of Mankind____________Morne

Have you tried Extreme Noise Terror? They are Crustcore (Crust/Grindcore) on their 1st, 2nd, and 5th albums.

For Crossover Thrash, Municipal Waste

Haha, didn't realize they went in this direction (I dislike norwegian black). Good stuff, seems like it has many a panty of the tr00 kvlt grim frosty blackness kiddies in a bunch, thats usually a plus though.

YES on Municipal Waste (Name sounds really familiar, pretty sure I never heard them though.)

Not so much on Extreme Noise Terror though, not the biggest grind fan.

I second Iskra. Great blackened Crust. I would also like to add Martyrdöd and Hotbild, both crust influenced Swedish BM acts (or BM influenced Crust acts, just how you want to see it).

Iskra, Sanctum, Stormcrow, Driller Killer, Martyrdöd, Hotbild, Nausea, and Dystopia are all really awesome, thanks guys.

I never bothered with anything before Realm of Chaos for Bolt Thrower, but as expected their first is very good as well.

Skitsystem might be up your alley too. Mainly crust, but I believe Thomas Lindberg and Daniel Erlandsson played in it as well at some point.
Order of the Vulture is another one, mixing crust with black/death metal, and they don't stick to the d-beat all the time which gives it a bit more variety.

Disfear's "Live The Storm" is basically Discharge meets Motörhead.

Seconding the Order of the Vulture rec, I have their self-titled and enjoyed it. They did a split with a band called Dažd who are a little doomier. I don't have anything by them but the tracks on their Myspace are promising at least.

Good thread though, definitely gonna check some of these bands out.

Also, I updated the first post with all the recommendations so far.

Black September from Chicago are pretty good, they've got a few EPs that rip (particularly their split with THOU).

If you like earliest Bolt Thrower, then check out Sacrilege - Behind the Realms Of Madness. That's were Bolt Thrower got their main influence from.

Also Crude S.S. from Sweden rule. They mixed on their 7" early Hellhammer sound of Satanic Rites with some riffs of Apocalyptic Raids and mixed it then with a big dose of Anti-Cimex. Killer combination, several Best-Of compilations easily available/tradable.

As for some Swedish Crust: Uncurbed, Skitsystem, Wolfbrigade/Wolfpack, To What End?, Driller Killer (aargh, Fuck The World and Reality Bites are like Grave on an acidtrip)
=> all with some Death Metal influences that make them highly interesting

Oral
=> with Alf, founding member of Grotesque/At The Gates. Mixing Crust with Grotesque like riffs/madness. Absolutely awesome.

Filth of Mankind - Crusties from Poland. One of my favourite crust bands. Their Final Chapter LP fucking slays. Lots of kickass riffs, and heavy as hell.

Morne - The band formed by Filth of Mankind's guitar player when he moved to the states. Similar to Filth of Mankind in sound, though perhaps a bit more doom influenced.

Contagium - Crust band from Halifax. Sounds similar to Axegrinder, Deviated Instinct etc.

War Ripper - Retro black/thrash meets crust.

Misery - Doomy crust, with some DM and thrash influence.

@peterott - Crude S.S. seemed kinda meh to me but the rest of the bands were really good and I wasn't aware of Grotesque before, thanks.

I like Black September, Filth of Mankind, and War Ripper alot too, thanks guys.

Here's their url http://www.myspace.com/ariseandresist

Glad you liked the recomendations, those some of my favorite bands. And I actually play in Dissent and we just had a new cd come out if you're interested. Also check out Dismember(they have some crust inluence especially on the Like an Ever Flowing Stream album).
