I can't speak to Casanova, but check out:

Hardline
Tower City
The Brandos

And the site, heavyharmonies, has a great AOR reference.

Some of these new glam and sleaze bands (or whatever you want to call it) aren't bad. Have you heard Vains of Jenna or Dirty Penny? Another good one is Skull Daze from Italy: http://www.myspace.com/skulldazeband

Also, Crazy Lixx: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JGi1TdOk ... re=related

Reckless Love: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w1lxcVem ... re=related

Bullet (again Accept/Krokus)
Burning Starr (1st album is very hard rock)
Black 'N Blue (akin to KISS glam work, RATT)

D' Molls
Elektradrive (powerful melodic heavy metal)
Norden Light (powerful melodic heavy metal)
Firehouse
Heavy Pettin'
Keel
Lillian Axe

Fuck my glam/aor project dissbanded... It sucks because we had 3 cool sounding songs... and it would be nice to have that kind of band here in Perú, maybe in a few months...
@TheGreatDuck: Try to contact DeathRiderDoom... He's the man in this topic... also give me some time.. Im at university right now, But I promise to give you some information.

Also does anyone could give me a review about Celtic Frost's Glam era???

I haven't listened to whole Cold Lake, but judging from the songs off CL Ive heard, its not glam, its thrash with spandex and hairspray.I don't get why is the Cold Lake era listed as glam here, considering Turbo,Destiny and Eat The Heat all were glammier than CL,but glam isn't listed as a genre for Priest,Saxon nor Accept, not to mention actual glam bands such as Crue,WASP,Stryper or Twisted Sister.

I see there isn't much talk going on here,so I'd recommend everyone to check out White Lion.Don't let the crappy hits such a Little Fighter or Wait turn you off;check out the songs Hungry,Lonely Nights and If My Mind Is Evil,as well as their debut album, there's some awesome soloing and decent riffing to be found there.

I've just been listening to the new Bad City and it's pretty awesome. If you like melodic hard rock with big hooks and soaring vocals, check 'em out:

Found another great Glam/Sleaze band from Sweden named Sister. They just released an album on Metal Blade titled "Hated" and it rocks:

A friend of mine listens to a variety of music (heavy metal, (hard)rock, pop, folk et cetera) and wants some (hard)rock cd's for his birthday (which he celebrates within a few days). Now, he is a more 'general listener' and isn't rooted deeply in such music scenes but I know he enjoys the works of AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Sabaton, Black Label Society, Dropkick Murphy's, Steppenwolf and such. What are some recommendations of good albums (outside these bands, as I don't know which albums he has from these bands) that are easy to acquire yet still good, catchy and so on? I don't really care about 'he needs to listen to other music' et cetera, I just want to make him happy with music I know he will enjoy.

Thank you for your help in advance,
