hahahahah, Porky Vagina is actually a + b. :) thanx!

King Parrot - heard them live when they were a support act for Obituary/Exodus tour concert and liked them more than headliners.
but their best clip "bite your head off" is pretty solid album, nothing more.

Here's some more goofy shit:
Blood Duster
Captain Cleanoff
Felisha
Tower of Wankers
Mucupurulent
Kaasschaaf

For experimental/sort of proggy stuff:
Beaten to Death
Gridlink
Piss Vortex
Mortalized
Crowpath
Okazaki Fragments
Oblivionized

thanx dude!

I've listened to Kaasschaf only. (edit: and Crowpath, of course)
I'll check out the other recommendations soon.
just for the record, Porky Vagina is kickassable,
truly lolly tragicomic freak show obviously influenced by Zappa and Mr. Bungle,
that's my kinda nigga.

My pleasure!
A good friend recommended them to me a few weeks back & I was blown away. I call it carnivalcore; goofy, playful & wildly creative. You should also try PainKiller & Naked City. John Zorn is a goddamn genius.

looking for:

a) more party grind bands with a humorous approach like Birdflesh.
b) more experimental/fusion (Exit 13, Skeleton of God, Bad Acid Trip, !T.O.O.H!) or technical (Cephalic Carnage, Hybrid (Spain), A Million of Dead Birds Laughing) grind stuff.

any recommendations?

a) Super Fun Happy Slide:Not that similar to Birdflesh but definitely humorous and great!!
https://blastasfuk.bandcamp.com/album/d ... ants-grind

b)I really love Gride and Noisear both experimental, technical and unique in their own way.

I agree with Psudoku being mentioned before also check their other side projects.

LeftyFish is a new exciting band with a lot of potential which I'm into.
They really crazy and all over the place.
It's not really grind but grindy enough. since it would fit well with Psudoku, John Zorn(grindier stuff) and Melt Banana. And far more girnd than say Hybrid.
They only have very few tracks but they are great. Loved this year(1 minute) release.

Damn, that sounds like a cool concept.

I'm not sure such a thing even exists but maybe Lykathea Aflame? If you are looking for just folk/grind hybrids give Libeteer & Relictis a shot.

Yeah Lykathea Aflame pretty much have the idea, but I was hoping for something pure grind with the same vibe. Even songs will do I guess. Seems like something that would have happened by now lol.

Yeah, I'm a big fan and it's not grind'n roll at all. There are ZZ Top-ish parts, but they're well-done and actually add to it, rather than watering it down. They just come in and out quickly as flourishes that break things up, rather than being some goofy shit. Another reason I wouldn't call this grind'n roll is that the production reminds me of Napalm Death's Scum and it's cut more from that cloth.

Something I like about it is that while the song titles are hilarious, offensive, and talking shit, they're not goofy or trying to mimic Anal Cunt. The project's been around since 2013 and has only gotten progressively better. There's a CD collection of all the 7"s they've done from their inception to 2016 available from their label. The title is Slaughterology and it was released on the label they run. Which is located in the part of Kentucky near Cincinnati, Ohio.

Btw said main guy behind the project was also in the almighty Hellnation and even Praparation H. Don't know if any of you are familiar with them, but Hellnation was around from 1988-2008 and were one of the best "powerviolence" bands in history. They deserve better than to be saddled with that genre term, though. Unbelievably fast shit that almost bent time. Twenty-minute set felt like an hour, but in a GOOD way... I had the pleasure of seeing them five times during their existence. Anyhow, the guy's I'm talking about has also done work with Reeking Cross and has a bunch of really good death and black metal projects. And is the brain behind the thrashy redneck hardcore punk band, Brody's Militia (which is basically a recording project now).

http://backwoodsbutcher.bandcamp.com
http://backwoodsbutcher.blogspot.com

Btw don't tell him I sent you -- he's written enough tracks about internet nerds sucking up to him, hah.

Unusually good goregrind from Dayton, Ohio. Drummer is from Edmonton, but relocated for the band. He runs a label called Blast Addict. Is also a member of Hyperemesis, the legendary Hemdale, and a kajillion other bands. One of the three or four fastest drummers I've ever seen and he's in his very early twenties!!!!

Isaac is one of the best humans on earth and this is really funny. Had the pleasure of playing and seeing Sulfuric three times this year. Trashy from Pizzahifive and Couple Skate now plays bass with them and they are even better now. Did you play in Horrendous Miscreation?

Exposed as Rot
Not sure if posted but new-ish band with members of Gowl and Misanthropic Noise. Great mix of fast grind, catchy grooves and crazy vocals. Doing a split with them next year, going to be tight. (they have more music not uploaded as well)

Fully agreed. Isaac is awesome. And he lives for grind.

Sulfuric plays in my city more than Dayton, which is weird/awesome. I haven't seen them with Trashy on bass yet, though. Haven't been getting out a whole lot lately, but hopefully that'll change soon...

Btw are you friends with Logan from Hate Face, Ledge Walker, and Perfidious Order?

No, I did vocals for Detroit for a little bit before moving to Winnipeg. did some vocals on stuff that mostly didn't get released and went on tour in summer 2012.

Lot's of stuff came out recently

Deterioration - Lupara Bianca
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iik1v3ir00A
Quite possibly their best stuff. Seeing them is mind blowing. Best grindcore band in the US right now hands down.

Sixbrewbantha - Blight
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5L6_Zrmxh0c
Great stuff from these guys as always.

Hallucination Realized - Exposed as Rot split
https://hallucinationrealized.bandcamp. ... sed-as-rot
Shameless self promotion, stoked on this split

Exposed as Rot - Orchiopexy split
https://exposedasrot.bandcamp.com/album ... ecapitated
Crushing, top "new" grind bands going now.

Looking for 'groovy' grindcore. PIg Destroyer's "The Diplomat" is a good example of the style I'm after.

Thoughts?

Randomly came across this band, really liked what I heard:

Violent Opposition - Utopia/Dystopia
https://violentopposition.bandcamp.com/ ... a-dystopia

"The foundation is rooted in early Earache grind and Frank Zappa.
But, west coast hardcore! And, Canadian fastcore! I love it!
Lyrics have mostly been a lot of self help shit, sociopolitical, observations of behavior and culture, what you might expect from a Zappa/grind project..."

Are there any grind bands without use of double bass drums?
