What are some good albums/songs that are super dark doomy slow and just dreadful. Im assuming theres alot of death/doom like this but i havent really looked yet so im hoping this will be a good starting point

You may want to look into the funeral doom subgenre. Beware though, there's tons of worthless stuff - focus on the luminaries first and foremost.
For starters, I'd recommend:
Skepticism - Stormcrowfleet
Thergothon - Stream from the heavens
Funeral - Tragedies

....of course there's many more, those are just off the top of my head.

Try Crowbar and Eyehategod.

If you haven't heard NORTT I would highly recommend it given your description. It's more blackened funeral doom metal, but it generally has an bleak, despondent atmosphere.

I think most of Cannibal Corpse's songs are dreadful..I have to listen to them only when I am in a fabulous mood...
