Greetings all. I am seeking bands that play a certain type of atmospheric/melodic black/death metal that conveys what I would describe as a fairly "dreamy" atmosphere. Something like a more blackened version of Be'lakor, Persefone, or An Abstract Illusion, but still retaining at least a semblance of melodic death metal. Thank you for your time.

Faal's The Clouds Are Burning perhaps. They're labeled as Funeral Doom/Death on here but they don't get that slow too often, and when they do it doesn't last very long. I haven't heard their other material.

You should listen to some older Septic Flesh, specifically Esoptron, to me they really nailed the perfect mix of gothic doom/death metal, similar to what Paradise Lost was doing but with a much heavier Greek/eastern sound.

Faal is right my my alley, so to speak, but is not exactly what I am seeking for this sound.

Old-school Septicflesh is already on heavy rotation for me, but is not quite the sound I am seeking here.

Might not be right on the money, but i would recommend Mitochondrion from Canada, very dreamy dark atmosphere, and killer strange riffs and parts. Although they are not very melodic.
