hey all! first and foremost this my first post here, im new, i was perusing the site for band recommends but figured it may be easier to ask the community.
so heres my long winded question. i loveeeeee Eluvetie, which for those few who dont know, is a celtic folk metal band from finland. i was looking for reccomends along that bands line that had a lot of the, ya know flutes and such, the uncommon instruments if i may. also looking for something in the style of equilibriums newest cd, armageddon. its metal but has a carribean style too it..flaminco? not sure if thats the right term.also looking for classical metal, like haggard therion, and asian inspired folk metal , think tenggar cavalry here. also love opera, so if theirs an operatic metal band with classical orchestration, id love that. so hopefully this gives u an idea of what im looking for...but any and all recommends would be great.

bands i love: eluvetie, equilibrium, tenggar cavalry, nightwish, amon amarth, dragonforce
bands i dislike: metallica, slipknot

Cave of Swimmers - Epic doom with Carribean rhythms or something to that effect
Chthonic - Melodic black/death with Asian folk music & some sort of political activism shtick
Ulytau - Instrumental folk metal from Kazakhstan
Gostwind - Symphonic/folk metal from Korea
Wintersun - Epic melodeath, try the s/t album
Ensiferum - Triumphant 'battle metal', try the older albums
Arkona (Russia) - Black/folk with pagan themes
Therion & Trans-Siberian Orchestra for your classical/opera metal needs, although I'm not really familiar with either that much. If you're looking for something a bit more aggressive check out Septicflesh & the new Ex Deo album.

Hi!

Well, I think this band sure meets your standards / requirements or,in other words, this one has everything you are asking about

May I pressent you VITAM ET MORTEM, a nice blend between the heaviness of BEHEMOTH, the melodies in AT THE GATES and certain ethnic, ritual and symphonic music elements creating an unique sound signature which, I am sure, you will find very appealing and interesting.

The band is currently promoting their fifth studio album, which you can listen to at this location.

(You can also browse through out discography here).

May I suggest you to check out "Death Metal 666" and, especially, "Historias de TiranĂa". I am sure this one will surprise you greatly

Please, let me know if you like the band! :)
