I'm looking for bands or albums that consist entirely of melodic guitar instrumentals. I recently came across Polyphia and enjoy their guitar instrumentals, they are very "emotionally intense", and an overall great listening experience. I guess anything similar to the songs I post below is good, relatively fast guitar/tempo is preferred. I'd like it to be in the same vein, melodic and emotional stuff.

I'm thinking along the likes of this:

I have that album. I haven't heard anything similar with that same upbeat sound.

Have you heard Nick Johnston's Remarkably Human? He plays on your second song. Extremely emotional player, although not as fast tempo or 'happy' as Polyphia.

I was looking for something in that vein a few weeks back & this thread proved to be quite useful.

Will video games soundtracks do the job? Huge fan of the soundtracks for the Dynasty Warrior series. Very melodic guitar riffage, it's great stuff.

Go listen to CROW'SCLAW (listed here on Metallum), Thousand Leaves (listed here on metallum as Thousand Eyes) Demetori. Very good instrumental power/melodeath/prog groups.

If you're looking for instrumental guitar stuff, I suggest you check out Buckethead. His work doesn't exactly fit into one style, but he's got so many releases that you're sure to find something you want. He does riffs, solos, atmosphere, experiments...

For the kind of mood you're asking about, one of his recent releases called 'Glacier' is great, the title track in particular. Youtube isn't available where I live, so this link is to a Chinese website. You don't need to read anything, just press the big ol' play button under the album art
