Howdy!

I'm looking for a bands/artists/specific albums that have a strong connection to tribal vibe via drums, rythms, chants, dance, beat, ect. Something similar to mid sepultura/soulfly.. Tribal and powerful, uplifting and moving music..

It doesn't need to be strictly metal music, any kind of tribal feel would be great!

The song Embrace the World by Gojira is pretty much exactly that.

I always thought Indukti had strong tribal vibes, especially their second album, Idmen. It's more in the vocals and lyrics than drumming, though.

Swiss industrial band Nàda could be of interest to you, especially their 2nd album "Úr". They have a very similar vibe to Swans, but with a more ethnic/tribal focus.

The drumming on Schammasch's Triangle sounds like tribal war-drums. This triptych is a masterpiece, you should listen to it.

+ tribal non-metal music: the song "Escape From ParadIce" by Lunatic Soul (progressive rock)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CfEZ3vXaJ3w
There are more tribal beats/rythms in the "Lunatic Soul"/"Lunatic Soul II" albums, but music isn't moving enough.

NEUROSIS! Of course! Lots of tribal/ambient influences in their music. They sometimes fuse it with their unique style of sludge, and sometimes they just go completely tribal. They have a very primitive spirit in their music: in fact, I remember some early 90s Sepultura interview where Max said they were a huge influence to their more tribal songs:

This song 'Cleanse' whas in fact the one that inspired Sepultura! According to Wikipedia:

Quote:
"Kaiowas" was recorded live among the ruins of the medieval castle of Chepstow. It was an entirely acoustic track, with Andreas Kisser and Max Cavalera on the guitars and brother-drummer Igor Cavalera and bassist Paulo Jr. handling the percussion duties. When they recorded "Kaiowas", the quartet never even considered playing the track live, because they thought it would be too difficult to recreate the drumming on stage. They changed their minds after seeing a video of the American band Neurosis: "We saw in that live video that the Neurosis guys put down their guitars and everybody started to play the drums on stage", lead guitarist Andreas remembers. "We decided to try the same thing. We rehearsed it once and it was wonderful. We haven't stopped playing the song live since."

Interesting live perfomance:

Sooo cool to see someone mention and recommend this great band! They come from my area and were the very first band I've seen live. Completely unique group in this rock- and punk-infested town! Record collectors must get their 12" which contains the latter half of their debut "Celmetra" - each copy has a different, hand-painted and -decorated sleeve (and they're all beautiful as far as I can tell, plus: hand-#).

I'm glad someone else likes them, I was beginning to think I was the only one! I've been a fan since the 90s. Cèlmetra is a great album. The "KomAmoK" 10" is also great, shame they didn't do anything else. Remo Seeland's solo project Hollow Bone is an interesting listen too.

SpiRitual might be up your alley:

Of course Angra's second album Holy Land should be mentioned:
