Well...the thread title says it all. I'm looking for gothic country or folk/folk rock that has lyrical basis in Satanist or Occultist imagery/lore/religion/philosophy/etc.

Hexvessel is a psychedelic folk rock band from Finland with occult themes.

Maybe Blood Ceremony as well. While they aren't exactly folk they incorporate a lot of blues so may not be what you are looking for.

Those Poor Bastards have some really cool tracks, but I find their stuff so hit or miss. I'd also like to see where this thread goes.

here's Lindbergh Baby. Gothic country.

Grouper. lo-fi atmospheric folk. not sure about lyrics, but really cool stuff.

Chelsea Wolfe . Bounces around somewhere in between folk/rock/post-punk/drone/country. Love the first song to death, but don't find her to have one really outstanding album (also the track's not really folk/country, but click around).

Blood of the Black Owl.
