I'm looking for some Brutal Death Metal. It's definitely a good thing if it's technical but it doesn't have to be. Also, while I mainly want it to be brutal death, it can vary a bit (Deathrash, deathgrind, brutal deathcore, etc). And I love melodic stuff so you can post it but it's not the focus of this thread and I already have a huge collection of melodic stuff. The key thing in this rec is that I want it to be relatively clean with decent production. I can't stress this enough. I don't want any 1990's shitty recordings that have 0 bass in the sound with poppy snares. It's got to be decent. Doesn't have to be ultra clean but I don't want clicky/poppy stuff. Also, I want it to be extreme. Blast beats up the wazoo is a good thing. I want it to be so loud and extreme that when the song finally stops, it sounds like I have gone deaf. Finally, I don't want anything too cacophonous/wrong sounding (this is hard to describe). I don't really like an angry filthy sounding slams or anything like that. It's hard to explain so I'll just give some examples of what I want.

Fleshgod Apocalypse http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RzJdrW_-fb8

Oh, and please keep the disgusting porn/gore imagery to a minimum.

Thanks!

I think you may like Disgorge (U.S.A) and Cerebral Effusion the later has some slams.

Maybe some Atheretic; Canadian brutal tech death with a prominent bass and some very thick riffs. Almost like a heavier, dirtier Beyond Creation (Maybe check them out too if you aren't familiar, although not really as "brutal" and more melodic). YouTube quality does not do it justice, pick up their album or download it, if further interested.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P7mK63fI ... ure=relmfu

Element (USA); similar to the last rec, thick riffs, not as prominent of a bass, and lots of blasts.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZdPMXI9q ... re=related
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=auiPvZro ... re=related

Nervecell (UAE); these guys play more of a techy death/thrash brand of metal, lots of riffs and tempo changes.

I listened to a Disgorge song but I wasn't a fan of the constant chugging or the production.

As for Cerebral Effusion, I think you may have misread my post but I actually don't like slams at all. They're one of the main things that turn me off of Brutal Death.

Athertic were pretty good, I loved the tech. My only complaint is that non stop loud crash sound; it was hard to hear everything else over it. Hopefully it will sound better when it's not on youtube.

I know Beyond Creation, Element, and Nervecell already. The reason why I mainly asked for brutal death instead of tech melodic death is just because my tech melodic death library is already so big that any good recs someone can give me will probably be in my library.
______________________________________________________________

I should also add a quick note about vocals. I'm not that picky but I'd still like to keep away the gurgles and the burgles and burps and the croaks. Gutturals are fine but that's because they're usually loud and in your face.

Thanks for the recs so far!

Vengeful: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fTHC5dl9DIE
Internal Suffering (loud and extreme!): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8LlnSWvpNzk
Infested (might be a bit too "wrong" sounding): www.youtube.com/watch?v=WTETBcMSUt4
Fleshtized: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jJXe7eZMFZg
Decaying Purity: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ExUGInlmed8
Goretrade: www.youtube.com/watch?v=UTKXfyskWNc
Human Mincer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5u1dUsybZms

Should probably find something you like here.

Holy shit, Vengeful has that exact explosion I'm looking for. Not only that, but it has the rough aggressive production that I like. More stuff like this.
Didn't like the production or the randomness from Internal Suffering.
Infested was alright but it just seemed a bit too boring for me.
Fleshtized just wasn't what I was looking for.
Decaying Purity was pretty good. It's weird though, according to my browser I have already checked that song out but I don't remember doing so.
Goretrade wasn't bad, but like Infested, it was a bit boring.
Human Mincer could be ok and that artwork is sick but the production is abysmal. Those drums are just so obnoxious. I'm hoping it's just the YouTube video so I will check them out.

Thanks for the recs. Vengeful was the stand out; more like that would be awesome.

Viraemia was alright too but there's just too much wank. (I don't know if you noticed but that audio in the link you gave me sucked >_< I just clicked on a different song though.)
Cryptopsy was pretty good but the production really got in the way of it.

I already know and have Dying Fetus (saw them a month ago on Metal Alliance) but they're not what I'm looking for.

Overall good recs but too much wank for what I'm looking for (I'm focusing more on the Brutal than the Tech).

Keep them coming guys!

No mention of Severed Savior yet? Check out their latest, 'Servile Insurrection.' I think that is definitely what you are looking for.

If you liked Vengeful, you should dig Iniquity. They both play the same slow and monstrous style.

Other than a lot of the chugging, I really like Severed Savior. They're more technical and melodic than what I'm looking for in this thread but I still do love melotech.

Not bad but the production marred it. In the song I listened to, the guitars were so trebley that they could barely be heard over the drums, and that was on their newest release.

Check out the debut, Serenadium, then. It's a lot more oldschool, and production is much thicker.

Old school is actually something I want to stay away from for the most part.

Also, I checked out a song from Serenadium and the constant blaring of the cymbals ruined it for me.

Sorry I'm being so picky about production but I can't really help it.

To be honest, that's just the very tip of the iceberg when it comes to this thread's transgressions against death metal. :P

As you can plainly see, I'm not really a death metal fan >_< I need to find brutal death metal with certain qualities that work for me.

Fair enough. Anyways, so my posts here have a bit more weight than me simply being a dick, try Abnormality on for size - brutal, crystal-clear production (though the snare tone might bother you), and slam-free.

Hah, that snare is pretty annoying. But I already know and have Abnormality ("Visions" from Rock Band =D). Not quite what I'm looking for. I'm looking for more constant explosiveness rather than slow chugging sections alternating with fast sections.

Hell, this thread is the best place to recommend Rivers of Nihil!

A little slammy/deathcore-ish but definitely one of my favorite local bands and always fascinating to watch live. Influenced by Meshuggah but also Suffocation, Devourment, Psycroptic and black metal.

Awesome rec.

And for the record, I am totally completely 100% fine with -core. Even though even I can admit some of the more popular -core can get quite repetitive, when technicality and brutality is thrown into the mix, it -core elements aren't even that strong.

Try Unbirth. May be a bit too technical for you but it isn't over the top like Brain Drill.
