Bwaahahahahaah! That Bon Jovi track has more attitude than the Megadave one.

I can't wait for the hilarious reviews

Not entirely related to this single, but I see that Dave has announced a couple bands for Gigantour 2013....Device and Hellyeah... I just have to wonder if Dave is looking for an entirely new audience as the new single and these bands don't really scream anything to do with thrash. Not that i would expect his tour to be be just thrash, but the first couple Gigantours had some pretty good bands and variety...

Dave personally selects every band for Gigantour, and he states that the main criteria is that they feature great guitar playing, as that was the initial point of the first tour (which made sense because it featured bands like Symphony X and Nevermore). I'd like to hear him defend these choices...

Sadly, Newsted is pretty much the only good band on the bill so far aside from the obligatory Megadeth. It'll take some serious credibility for me to give this any sort of consideration.

Megadeth were never one of my favorite thrash bands, but holy shit that was awful. Reminded me of the style the band had on "Cryptic Writings" except that album at least came out during a relevant time (it was sort of post-grunge hard rock that didn't sound too out-of-place on rock radio alongside contemporaries like, say, Live or Fuel). Without the benefit of somewhat decent alt rock bands to ape, Dave's just floundering on that track, struggling to find anything resembling a hook in a song that has nothing going for it without one.

As a person that liked Turbo, Load and ReLoad I'm here to say I'm totally okay with the title track. Thought it was fine, perfectly listenable. I've never been a Megadeth fanboy so I don't see it as a betrayal of sorts...just a neat little track is all.

BLARTH!!!! Can't tell which is worse, the way Super Collider is shaping up, or the horrid line-up for Gigantour 2013! Truly embarrassing! I'm starting to feel that, after the terrible Thirteen and the way things are shaping up for the future, that not even the mighty Rust In Peace can keep this band on my list of listened to bands. Risk is not a good album by any means, but I'd rather listen to it than most of Thirteen, and I'll bet any amount of money that Super Collider will make Thirteen sound like the absolute pinnacle of artisan Heavy Metal.

The real tragedy is that Jag Panzer is now disbanded as an indirect result of Chris leaving to enter Megadeth. I'll reiterate my and many others' sentiments upon hearing that Chris is joining Megadeth; what a waste of talent!

Exaggerations left and right. So it sounds like Guns Roses or KISS or something...champions of mediocrity. Not the sonic manifestation of syphilis!

It's mostly the vocals. Man they are awful.

Doesn't Dave have friends in thrash that go "wtf are you doing?" No, it'll be the same as Morbid Angel releasing Illud and getting nothing but resounding praise from their scene peers. No one at their level tells these guys that these suck.

I like the chorus vocals. The verse vocals are a little strange (what is that, a phaser effect?) but they're not really a deal-breaker for me... I mean, this is and always has been Mustaine, right?

Yeah, but when you put it over a really melodic rock song, it just sounds like shit. Maybe he could've pulled this off years ago, but his voice is shot to hell now.

This. The song in itself was painfully mediocre, but the vocals were intolerable. The highly melodic nature of the tune does nothing but emphasize Dave's lack of vocal proficiency.

This is the absolute worst Megadeth song I've heard. Where are the riffs?

People looking for awesome riffs in what is clearly not meant to have any just strikes me as silly and Borisian. Yeah, Megadeth is good at riffs but they've written like five good ones in fifteen years, the fact that there are no riffs isn't what makes this song so surprisingly terrible.

It leaked, peeps. I didn't they did a Thin Lizzy cover lol. It's better than Thirteen so far, Built for War is pretty good. And the country/folk influence on The Blackest Crow is awesome, I would literally take a whole album of songs like that. That's a surprising album, a bit boring but not as safe as I expected.

Yeah, "Super Collider" is only one of like three really terrible songs, it's more boring than anything else. I'm actually pretty disappointed that it wasn't a complete trainwreck like I was expecting.

Any bets on the next album's cover just being the band in front of a horrible green screen effect?

As long as that cover includes one Nick Menza, I'll take it.

Does anyone even know what Nick's doing these days? The most I've heard of him is he signed with Soultone Cymbals a while back.

Still is I suppose, here's a recent video of him playing Holy Wars from their channel.

Just listened to the entire leaked album, funnily enough the David Draiman songs are indeed among the best of the album! Still have to hear the whole thing a couple more times to figure out which 4 or 5 songs are worth downloading

I listened just to the infamous title track, and to be honest I can't see why is it so horrible. The chorus is a bit weak indeed, but the whole thing is kind of ok. It's not actual metal I guess, but it's not a terrible song, it's just... well "ok" is the best term here.
