Incarnate - Embrace the Horror

And it's not even funny black metal as I thought first. Just boring hardcore/thrash nobody cares about.

Apparently, horror is a basket-weave hamster ball.

Looks like wellness/relaxation music to me.
I hope the music won't reflect the cover art.

Not metal, but Damu Ridas' first album. I'm a shameless fan of 90's gangsta rap, but I'll be the first to tell you the genre doesn't exactly have a great track record for amazing album covers. This one stands out though for being especially silly for that one guy who looks like he is wearing a pair of Mickie Mouse ears and a Pitbull that is grinning like he's high. Just makes me laugh seeing a picture of legit gangsters that is so damn goofy.

Popped into this topic for a laugh or two, and surprised to see one of my favorite albums at the top! I'm surprised with all the Carcass love on this forum that no one mentioned the fact that Carcass didn't actually commission that piece from H.R. Giger, as he mentions on his website:
http://www.hrgiger.com/music/covers.htm

Jeff Walker mentions in this interview (and a number of others I wish I had links for) more about the piece:
http://www.goddamnbastard.org/carcass/i ... s/pit.html

Not that Wikipedia is always accurate, but it references that the 1993 version of "Life Support" was an updated version of a sculpture Giger did in the 1960's, which is what Carcass originally chose for the cover. He apparently asked them to wait (according to an old radio interview I remember hearing with Walker) because he was working on a new version, and that's what ended up appearing on the cover.

A long-haired guy with his face down, on a pool of blood on the table. Knives are sticking out of his back and he holds a gushing bottle of beer.

This thread is getting to be an old and worn out post-your-favorite thread, time for it to be put to sleep.
