I like the Akercocke covers. They might offend the sensibilities of people with high moral standards, but it's precisely the combo of naked ladies and guys in old-fashioned suits that makes them work.

I like that one too. Yeah, it's perverted and shit (which is not necessarily a bad thing depending on your views), but the artwork is done very well in my opinion and both are neat looking covers as a result. Hell, I may check them out soon.

Well since we're on the topic of perverted shit, here are some covers that some may find to be ugly or lame but I personally find to be completely fucking beautiful. Not sure about posting them in the finest album cover thread, though. I just felt they needed to be exposed to those who have not witnessed their magnificence. One of my favorite covers of 2013, it has a lot of details and the moon is pretty nice. It's the dude from Acid Witch who also did their album covers.

It's a bit silly, but I get the feeling that's part of the charm. Looks almost exactly like the kind of covers you'd see in the late 80s.

I never said I didn't like it. I just said it was silly, and that makes it charming. It's like the cover to Don't Break the Oath in that regard, in that its silliness is its strength and what makes it memorable.

This is legitimately one of my favorite BDM albums of all time. Cover art aside, it's extremely fun and catchy without relying on slams too much.

I like it but I'd enjoy it more if the vocals weren't so bad

The thing that strikes me about that cover most is the band name. Why the misspelling of Kalashnikov? To avoid legal problems? Or is it genuinely spelled that way in certain countries?

Anyway, I dig what the cover is trying to do, but the execution is flawed. It would have just looked better slapping on a picture of some random Mujahideen warrior with an AK-74 and calling it a day. Paintings can be a hit and miss idea, as demonstrated there.

Do you realise that label that is? The album was not created by a real band, and everything related to it, most importantly the music, is mysteriously bad. It's like music created by deaf people.
