So Six Feet Under are releasing a new album less than a year since Undead. Both Rob Arnold and Matt Devries (ex-Chimaira) have left the band and have been replaced with Ola Englund from Sorcerer (guitars) and Jeff Hughell from Vile on bass.

Apparantly Ben Savage (from Whitechapel) and Jari Laine (Torture Killer) have also had a hand in the making of Unborn, that was produced by Mark Lewis and mixed by Jason Suecof.

Heres the artwork, which I personally think is awesome:

And heres a new track, "Zombie Blood Curse", which is fucking excellent: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... xeFmLXcXpw

So are you guys excited? I have heard a lot of people saying that Undead was better than Cannibal Corpse's Torture and while I don't agree that it's better I think it's an equally awesome album. The new song is awesome and hopefully this album will crush. Something that would make me really happy since I think Chris Barnes deserves to be on better albums than the dull stuff Six Feet Under usually releases.

Song sounds meh as fuck. The drive of the song is tame and too straightforward with nothing even remotely unpredictable. The tone on the guitars are soulless and lack a bite. The vocals... are done by fucking Chris Barnes. Final summation; 2013 will see better shit than this.

I haven't heared any music off the album yet but I was pleasantly surprised when I found out that Ola Englund (who in some circles is regarded as a bit of a legend especially among the metal guitar amp/cab emulation enthusiasts) is now part of the band and appears on this album.

Love the song. They may be back to death 'n' roll, but it's got actual energy to it this time.

There's already a thread about this - I can't search for it because I'm on my phone, but it's by GuntherTheUndying. Shouldn't be more than a couple of pages back.

Really appreciated 'Undead', I make peace with SFU since 'True carnage'.

Looking forward to this new album...

Heres another new song.

I think these two new songs are more a long the lines of the Six Feet Under we all know. As apose to what they did on Undead. I think Unborn will not be as good as their last album but it will be another solid Six Feet Under album for sure.

It leaked and I think I like it more than Undead. I really like the production and drums.

The first song has some decent drive to it, but it's 2 riffs that can be played while sleepwalking, no key changes, no variance at all -- other than a slow part in the middle that amounts to letting a few chords ring out with nothing interesting happening over therm.

A decent death metal group can write that in like 30 minutes. A bad one might take an hour.

The lyrics are crap. Same junk, different day.

Sorry. I don't see anything exciting here.

Just listened to Illusions, the bonus track, and I dont really like it. Sounds like a black metal song.

I'm not really stoked for this either... what I've heard from it sounds like Barnes & Co have taken two steps backward from the "Undead" material.

Just found out that Torture Killer released a new album. The vocalist sounds a lot like Chris, but I'm only three songs in, sounds boring so far.

I on the other hand really like Unborn but I have to listen more before I can say if it's better or worse than Undead.

I just read the lyrics and Chris has gone so downhill on them. Theyre Obituary level bad.
