Just read this on Annihilator's wikipedia page: "Jeff Waters is reported to have written many "hit" songs for other artists, under an assumed name, in the country ballad and pop ballad genre." |

I would have to say Romanian band Voltaj. The only member left from their metal days seems to be the bassist, although apparently he was not a founding member. Mike Rock, formerly of Swörd (Canada) played guitar on this female pop album: http://www.sensationrock.net/article-le ... 80663.html and sound engineer Glen Robinson (Voïvod, Annihilator, Gwar, Kataklysm..) mixed some of the songs. |

Latin pop/rock artist Juanes began his musical career playing in a thrash metal band called Ekhymosis. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L-WZcQSV9zo Although I think this only lasted one album before they began to play pop rock. |
