Didn't take long for me to find out that there's Goat Anus and Goat Phallus to join the stellar ranks of the aforementioned bands. These guys should get together and have a four-way split!

Pretty sure Metallica has nothing to do with Spanish. Looks to me like the word "metal" combined with the Californian pronunciation of "liquor". Seems the name has done them a great deal of good since they're the first band everybody checks out simply because they were among the first to have metal in their name.

I even like the band, and the name isn't THAT bad, but it is a fucked up reference. It isn't called the "Five Finger Death Punch", it is the "Five Point Palm Exploding Heart Technique". Which actually, I think, sounds a lot better.

I would agree that the name definitely put me off the first time you started promoting the band. If you play speed metal and you're name makes me think hard rock, then it doesn't fit. Just saying that it could be better.

Yeah I know, this is the reaction most people have. And well... I wont change it now when I already have some stuff released. And fuck, I love the logo even if the name is shitty. Haha!

I have had other names like Gravestorm in mind afterwards, I love that name... Sounds a like a really hellish zombie night at the graveyard. But I will use that for some death metal project instead

The names might be rather ridiculous (or funny, however you want to put it), but both bands are class A musical acts.

I've got it! Meat Wallet. The band isn't all that bad. They're kind of sloppy for my taste but they certainly get the job done. Too bad their name sucks. I guess you can't judge a band's content for their name though.

Puns tend to piss people off more frequently and easier than bad jokes.
I'm sure a lot of people hated the Steel Attack album Carpe DiEnd...not exactly for just the lame album title, but it sure didn't help, did it?

Anyway, another band with a really bad name. Uigg...no, that's not me making a disgusted sound, that's the name of the band.

I think that's what it's supposed to mean, but it still sounds pretty bad to me.

Other names that could be considered bad, but which I like because they are funny, are Cock and Ball Torture and Bathtub Shitter.

Actually, on a different subject, i noticed that both of those bands, as well as Agoraphobic Nosebleed are not on this site and I am wondering why.

Bathtub Shitter is weird grindcore, maybe on the punkier side, so I could see that one maybe not being on here.

But Cock and Ball Torture are Gore/Porno-grind with deep guttural vocals and Agoraphobic Nosebleed Grindcore mixed with metal.

I don't see how either could NOT be considered metal.

Actually I'm pretty sure he was very aware. A. Morbid is an extremely intelligent man and considering all the numerous and endless bands he's been in, he would care less what people think of the name.

CaBT used to be on MA for a long time but were eventually removed. I can't explain why because I never listened to them.

Agoraphobic Nosebleed aren't metal. They've got some metal in their sound, but it's not nearly enough compared to the punk, noise and even hardcore techno elements.

CBT are more slam than metal and hence were removed during the mass cleanup. Still a kickass band.

I came across this band called - Oh Shit They're Going To Kill Us :eek: But then again, they're a crossover band so obviously, 9 cases out of 10, it's got to be silly and bear shades of attempted comedy and raucousness.

Well, Goatpenis has Unspeakable Cult as well. I don't think the two bands are actually connected though.
