I'm a fan of Flourishing and this sound great but it's almost more blackened sounding to me. I'm pleased they turned out another release so quick. Really enjoyed the full lengths and having more to hear is always great.

Had to edit to put the correct html

I was more of a fan of their first EP to be honest. How does this stack up to either release?

It sounds more of the last, not as cracked out so to speak. I meant to link a song, but I fucked up and made it a IMG url instead and didn't catch it till now.

Wow, that sounds a lot harsher and darker then The sum of all fossils. Sound good though, but I really really want them to keep that warm sound they have. Fossils had those amazing moments of warmth and amazingly fluid melody. Damn, how I love that album.

I'm glad you guys liked the song. The new ep is the most recent Flourishing songs and were recorded in the summer of 2011 a couple weeks after the full length was released. I think y'all will dig the other two songs, which I think sound like a combination of the debut ep and full length. The opening track is faster, heavier and catchier and the third song is more experimental.

About 90% of The Sum Of All Fossils was written between 2003 - 2005. The 1st ep was recorded in 2005 and eventually released in 2010. With those facts expect a 2nd Flourishing album to be recorded before 2015 and released before 2020. Thanks for the support!

Brian (Flourishing)
