It'd be nice if you guys could hook me up with some good blogs/podcasts for metal. I'd like for it to cover some pretty obscure stuff but not exclusively obscure stuff.

I'm not really in the know about a lot of underground metal, but I like to think I know more than the casual metal listener.

I like Devourment, Defeated Sanity, Cattle Decapitation, stuff like that, but I also like everything from Cynic to Darkthrone to Dokken, so I don't mind what subgenre it covers.

I don't know of any good podcasts but erm... I try to incorporate a mixture of underground and better known stuff in my blog. One of my favorite blogs is probably From the Dust Returned; Autothrall powers through reviews like a machine, so you can count on new content.

I like The Autopsy Report(UK) a lot. Good if you like your podcasts with less talk and more metal.

Reverse of that is the Axis Of Metal podcast. Each show only has about 3-4 bands but the hosts do quite a bit of discussion on metal-related topics.

finding a good blog is actually very easy and I've found a fair amount of bands this way. Search for a band you like (any band) and type "blogspot" (without the quotations). You'll find a blog that contains music you like that way.
