Been meaning to become more of a poster, less of a lurker, and my week of purchases warrants a post here, I think...this is all on CD...all used, picked up on a trip I took down to Richmond/DC area last weekend (caught the Exhumed show while I was there) Kreator - Coma of Souls Eyehategod - Take As Needed For Pain Eyehategod - Dopesick Bolt Thrower - Honour Valour Pride Descendents - Liveage Alice Cooper - Welcome 2 My Nightmare Jimi Hendrix Experience - Are You Experienced Les Claypool's Frog Brigade - Live Frogs Set 2 Mojo Nixon and the Toadlickers - Sock Ray Blue Mojo Nixon and Skid Roper - Bo-Day-Shus!!! Dying Fetus - Killing on Adrenaline Afrika Bambaataa - Looking For The Perfect Beat Fantomas - Delirium Cordia Goatwhore - The Ecipse of Ages Into Black Superjoint Ritual - Use Once and Destroy Mantas - Death By Metal Kottonmouth Kings - High Society Clutch - Pure Rock Fury Municipal Waste - Waste Em All Big Business - Here Come The Waterworks All the above came out to about 130 all together, which I thought was awesome, especially getting to fill in some Mojo Nixon stuff I don't have and the Bambaataa collection that I saw for 5 times the price at a store in NYC recently...then the stuff below was in a bin $2 each or 10 for $16 Agalloch-Pale Folklore Agalloch-The Mantle Eyehategod-In the Name of Suffering High On Fire - The Art of Self Defense (original version) Neurosis - Enemy of the Sun General Patton vs The X-ecutioners Mudhoney - Five Dollar Bob's Mock Cooter Stew Tool - Opiate LL Cool J - mr. smith REM - Eponymous And then when I got back, I had my CM package come in with: Devin Townsend - Retinal Circus Blu-Ray/DVD/CD Gorguts - Colored Sands (album of the year? could be...) Napalm Death - Death by Manipulation Napalm Death - Diatribes/Greed Killing/Bootlegged in Japan 3-pack So I really shouldn't be allowing myself anywhere near a record store until at least the new year after this week...yeah, right, we'll see how that goes. |

Lets see now... A month back I bought the first two outings by the Polish black metal act Plaga, the first being a demo entitled Trąby zagłady/Triumfalny taniec... and the second an EP called Pożeracze Słońc (which reminds be that I must purchase the first full-length Magia gwiezdnej entropii that came out a while ago as soon as possible). A week or two ago I ordered Eyehategod's Take as Needed for Pain and Confederacy of Ruined Lives (I've worshiped EHG many years so it was about goddamn time I finally bought these excellent albums) along with Electric Wizard's Black Masses. |

@forestcorpse: sweet god I need to get in on some Summoning vinyls. Those are delicious. In my (less expensive but also less cool) change to mostly digital music purchasing, I recently bought: Cultes des Ghoules - Henbane Sigh - In Somniphobia Krallice - Krallice Alpha Drone - Alpha Drone Panopticon - Kentucky Inquisition - Ominous Doctrines... It's a great time for black metal. |

Finally got my Dissection picture disc LPs. These are the 2013 pic LPs w/Patch and 11X22 poster for each, limited to 1000 each. (yeah, yeah, I know-picture discs...) I pre-ordered these in June for a August release, and actually forgot about them (as they were delayed first until October, then until November) until I got a shipping notice late last week. I think these are pretty cool visual pieces, and it's nice to have The Somberlain and Storm Of The Lights's Bane on wax (Reinkaos is a bonus). Have not had a chance to spin them yet, so no idea how they sound. The Somberlain:

Lots of really great purchases over the last two page, still debating with myself on weather I should get the die hard Grave Upheaval LP. It actually gave me the idea to start making my own wooden slipcases, sounds like a good project to occupy a weekend with and would be excellent to have a safe wooden haven for my treasured LPs. Just received a CD lot from eBay, great deal, all first presses. My Shameful - To All I Hated Marduk - Nightwing Satirycon - The Shadowthrone Bethlehem - Sardonischer...
