Went to the record store and got these three for just under $20:
Image

Deceased - The Blueprints For Madness (been a while since I've listened to this one, need to listen to more of their stuff)
Thorns vs. Emperor split (haven't listened to this in many, many years too, figured for $4 why not?)
Inquisition - Obscure Verses For The Multiverse (felt like a semi-stale rehash at first but this is really growing on me, very catchy)

Not my picture because I couldn't take a good one, but whatever. Sweet album!

Sucks that I missed this when it was originally posted. Not my favorite album but DAMN is that thing a beauty. I love Morfeus' artwork and getting the vinyl just showcases it's truly glory.

A few relatively unexciting reissues that I'd been meaning to get for a while. Those Metal Blade reissues were really well done, were there more than Voivod and Fates Warning?

Image

Oh, a quick googling tells me they did F&J's Doomsday for the Deceiver and Lizzy Borden's Master of Disguise, too. Must ... apprehend.

They also did Sacred Reich, Hallows Eve and Psychotic Waltz, at least.

nice ones, is the Sadus one an original or re-release ? :)

That 'In Battle there is no law' Is the last Bolt Thrower full length I still need to buy (cd version, that is)... Still asking myself if I should wait until I accidentally come across an original or if I should just buy the recent reissue/repress and get done with it :annoyed:

some new cd's that came in:

Image

Necrophobic - Hrimthursum (happy to get this one, i'm noticing this is one (Regain Records version) is not so easily to find these days, for a cheap price at least, seems to go around for at least 15-20 euro's these days...)
Necrophobic - The Nocturnal Silence (i finally now have the original Black Mark release!)
Necrophobic - Death To All
Dismember - Indecent & Obscene
Deicide - Deicide

Thanks. an yeah, the sadus is an original.
I would also prefer to have IBTINL as an original. But until I get one on vinyl at a reasonable price i'm satisfied with this one. But I had to have this after I bought realm of chaos (original lp) and found out the first two albums are awesome. Love the thrashy, grind influence on those.

You have a nice score as well btw!

Hey man I'd flick mine off, I don't really like the album enough to not own an original, if that makes sense
This is it here, all my scans and matrix info etc http://www.discogs.com/release/4618715
maybe even swap it for something eh?

I think it might be better if you'd do someone in your close surroundings a favour with that one... ;) Still, I prefer to find the 'Silent Scream' one just pure for 'sports'. The re-press of the re-release (Vinyl Solution) isn't that hard to find, there are quite a few of these being sold on the net... Looks like I can even order it through the EMP mailorder. So in case I do give in to the pressure, I already know where I'd go get that one, hehe.

Why would he trade or buy stuff from a dude in New Zealand (shipping isn't cheap) when he can buy them directly in a store for 5 bucks each? It feels like you're advertising your trade list to me, dude.

I got this lot from Germany a couple of weeks ago

Abomination - Abomination / Tragedy Strikes [GER, both albums and some demos and eps on 2 CDs, excellent stuff from the Master]
Abscess - Damned And Mummified [different pressing to my other copy] [for sale/swap]
Benediction - Grind Bastard / Organised Chaos [GER, both albums reissued together on 2 CDs] [for sale/swap]
Benediction - Killing Music [GER, CD+DVD]
Bestial Mockery - Gospel Of The Insane [US Red Stream version, I have the Osmose version too] [for sale/swap]
Extreme Noise Terror - A Holocaust In Your Head [2011 reissue, violent stuff]
Gospel Of The Horns - The Satanist's Dream [GER reissue with some bonus songs]
Impaled Nazarene - Manifest [US Red Stream version, excellent stuff, I haven't heard much newer Imp Naz, also one of us is in the credits]
Infernäl Mäjesty - One Who Points To Death [nice, I've wanted this album for ages, interesting printing error in the booklet...]
Kataklysm - Live In Deutschland - The Devastation Begins [CD+DVD, not bad] [for sale/swap]
Lock Up - Necropolis Transparent [GER, wicked! this album slays hard, easily my favourite Lock-Up album, killer guitars and great artwork too]
Martyr - Murder X / The End Of The Game [another awesome Speckmann band, missing the rear cover which sucks a lot]
Masacre - Metal Medallo Attack [grimy thrashy black/death from Columbia, not bad]
Nagelfar - Srontgorrth [not for me]
Napalm Death - Bootlegged In Japan [really good live album, all killer no filler, old stuff only]
Unleashed - Hammer Battalion [GER, sounds like Unleashed, solid]
Unleashed - Victory [GER, black disc reissue]
Unleashed - Warrior [GER, black disc reissue] new to Discogs
Vomitor - Devils Poison [whoah! this rips it, ultra-mean guitars and drums + interesting vocals = it's a winner, been meaning to get it for ages, I have the Black Ace/KBTMT version]

On a Dark Quarterer kick. Got Symbols, their '08 release, and the two disc s/t remaster/re-recording.

The remaster (something I usually avoid) sounds great though I haven't really delved too much into the re-recording yet. I listened to it once some time ago, but haven't really sunk my teeth in. It loses that 70s production sound that makes the original so charming, but as a stand-alone recording, it certainly stands up. Guitar is obviously thicker so it sounds more metal and I think the keyboards add some flavor to it. Unlike Manowar and their pointless attempts, DQ's re-recordings compliment the original. As much as I enjoy the sub-demo production, I can see why some people might be put off and this allows them to enjoy a spectacular album. Gianni's voice as held up well considering he wasn't quite a spring chicken, starting the band some 12 years before their recording debut.

Symbols is an acquired taste. One that fans of their first two might not like. While it keeps the long song length that might be identified with the band, they take it a step further and stretch the compositions past the ten minute mark. Four songs exceed that with the longest being almost 15! Similarities end there as the band focuses more on composition than atmosphere, it that makes sense. The feelings I get while listening to the s/t are different from Symbols and most of their later work. Symbols is like reading or watching a really well crafted piece of literature or film while their earlier stuff is like actually being in those fantasies. Post-reunion material is great and fun to listen to, but it lacks that workman quality of their 80s material. Few things match Gianni's wailing over that driving riff in Retributioner.

Sect Pig - Slave Destroyed.
Awesome EP, got it straight from Nuclear War Now! store.
So much atmosphere and raw sound packed in one little EP.

Does all the info match the Discogs page?

Indeed it does! Every time I go there and see something of interest, I always check discogs to see if I can get it cheaper, or see how rare it is, etc.
