Just picked up a couple from the record store around the corner:

Iced Earth - Incorruptible

Finally got my mittens on this. I only spun it a couple of time last night but it's rock solid no-frills IE greatness. Probably the best Stu-era album so far? Really loving the songs "Seven Headed Whore" and "Raven Wing".

Death Angel - The Ultra-Violence

I was told this is a thrash cult classic but I gotta say I was left a little underwhelmed. I'm pretty picky about thrash and this verges too close to "party" thrash for me. Definitley amazing that it was recorded by people so young, but lacking in truly fetching riffs.

Lizzy Borden - Love You to Pieces
Arrayan Path - Dawn of Aquarius pre-order

Looking forward to getting both of these. Good winter for metal here for me.

Over the past few months I have picked up:

The Black Dahlia Murder-Everblack
Sinister-Syncretism
Dyscarnate-With All Their Might
Satan's Host-Virgin Sails
Cruachan-Blood on the Black Robe
Bestial Mockery-Slaying the Life

I've mostly been listening to the Satan's Host album, I didn't really know what to expect from it but it's excellent.

Yes, and it's probably a good one to start with actually, because it's one of their catchier and more accessible albums I reckon.

Jordablod - Upon My Cremation Pyre This album is one of my favorites from this year. Metantoine's review is very apt for this one.
Uada - Devoid of Light I'd heard this album when when it first came out and I loved it. As a huge fan of Ceremonial Castings I needed this in my collection.
Krallice - Ygg huur

Image

Devangelic - Phlegethon
Cianide - The Dying Truth Fantastic classic.
Decrepit Birth - Axis Mundi I was really surprised at how good this one was. Perfect addition to their discography.

Image
Dukhi Predkov - Terra Ursorum

Yeah, found it on Vintage Vinyl's website for $10, and paid $6 for shipping. :) I normally don't bother with EPs, but I sometimes make exceptions if they're at least 30 minutes long, which Iconoclast is.

Score! Via Crucis is a particularly great song. Do you have their other albums? Dominaeon is my favorite but they don't have a weak album. Their newest one is really growing on me too.

If you're not familiar, Albert Bell (bassist/founder of Forsaken) has another band Nomad Son which is awesome as well. I highly recommend.

I have Anime Morte, which I found used for cheap at the local brick and mortar music store some years ago. Great find. So far that's all I have. I downloaded the new album and plan on buying it eventually, good stuff.

Nomad Son is good too. I have the rerelease of First Light with the Pilgrimage of Doom DVD. Good stuff. I recently was unlucky with Nomad Son, I was watching an ebay auction for The Eternal Return for $5.00 and $5.00 shipping, but I forgot about it! I like to wait as late as I can to bid, and I just plain forgot to bid on it before it ended. And no one else bid on it so I would've won it for $5.00 by default. I've been checking daily to see if it gets relisted, but I haven't seen it again yet.

Right on. Dominaeon is a masterpiece and is definitely worth tracking down. Evermore is less epic and instead more "traditional" doom metal style than their later output but it's still great. After The Fall is just solid all the way through. It's not easy finding their albums though, especially their older stuff.

Oh man, major bummer about the Nomad Son CD! The Eternal Return is very good though of their three albums, is actually my least favorite. I find myself listening to The Darkening the most and never tire of it. But like Forsaken, all albums are very good.
