Mitochondrion - Archaeaeon Went on a little trip across the country to Portland, OR and snagged this in Everyday Music while there. Love this album.
Wormwitch - Strike Mortal Soil Drove down to a Suffocation show in Easton PA last week and was super stoked to catch Wormwitch live. Bought the vinyl from them and had them sign it.
Wolves in the Throne Room - Thrice Woven Was satisfied with this album, but I think I had hyped it up a bit too much prior to the release.



So while in Portland it was only natural that I check out Devout Records. It was the first time I'd ever been into a metal specific music shop and it was really fucking cool. These four came from there.

Funeral Mist - Salvation One of my favorite black metal releases of all time, and in my mind an absolute classic. I've had this on CD for years but was very happy to upgrade this to vinyl.
Skagos - Ást The opinions on this one vary wildly, but I've always enjoyed this one. I wasn't even aware it had been reissued on vinyl, so I had to snag it.
Stellar Descent - Darkening Peaks Solid album, I don't own a lot of cassettes, but recently purchased a deck so I snagged this up.
Dolorvotre - Dolorvotre This was an immediate buy upon seeing it. While not my favorite release Crepúsculo Records has put out, it's a solid addition.



Highland - Loyal to the Nightsky This one came out of nowhere. A very solid 2017 black metal release. When I ordered it I expected a pedestrian package, but holy shit this thing is packaged well. The booklet has some gnarly artwork in it.

Everything that I got in the past 2 weeks. I'm going to see Aura Noir tonight so I'll probably get more stuff but I get paid tomorrow which is unfortunate since I wish I had more money tonight. I got REALLY lucky last week at a used book store where I found a first press CD copy of Death's Scream Bloody Gore for only $8! It sells on discogs for an average of $54 so I'm pretty excited about that. I'm not huge into death metal but that album rips.
