That They Wither EP kicks ass! They actually threw it in for free, along with the Brutal Cross CD.

I haven't heard the Cerimonial Sacred EP, but I'll have a listen soon. Definitely check out the album I got, some very good symphonic black metal; reminds me of early Dimmu.

Right on. VoGR has some good stuff though the They Wither EP and Vials Of Wrath album are definitely my favorites. The person who runs it is a great guy too. Enjoy!

I'll check out Vials of Wrath as well, thanks!

Sure thing! They're comparable to Wolves In The Throne Room, Agalloch, etc. Their second album, Days Without Names is particularly good. Seeking Refuge is very enjoyable too, though DWN just feels much more mature and organic.

I went on a doom and old school heavy metal kick and picked up the few Saint Vitus and Slough Feg albums I was missing, along with the very cheap Solstice digital discography on bandcamp. Going mostly digital these days due to no storage space and moving around frequently. I do buy vinyl but it is rare.

I didn't realize how good all of Slough Feg's stuff was. Reviews led me to believe they peaked at Down Among the Deadmen and Traveller, but even Atavism and Digital Resistance are still insanely good! Maybe they still peaked at those earlier albums but I don't know, Hardworlder is simply fantastic. Still need to spend some time with Ape Uprising!

Slough Feg is always good. The early albums are the most popular and rightfully so, but most of their albums are full of great tunes and they never rest on their laurels. Absolutely worth checking out all of it.

Hell yeah, man, I really appreciate your reviews by the way. The only Slough Feg album I'm missing out on now is the debut! My eyes are peeled.

I look for that every few years but can't find it. Hope it gets reissued or something. I used to have an old dl on an older computer that I should go get.

There are some copies of the vinyl repress that Cruz del Sur did a while back on discogs, though the CD is still pretty rare.

Picked up a couple of records last weekend on my journey to Seattle:

Black Sabbath - Live at Convention Hall
Bolt Thrower - Those Once Loyal

And, while not a record, I snagged a DVD copy of Peter Jackson's Dead Alive for pretty cheap too.

I'm missing the s/t and Ape Uprising! from the full lengths. What's your take on these two? Idk if it's even possible to get the first album for a reasonable price.

I also have two copies of Down Among the Deadmen and Traveller because I bought that 3-in-1 combo pack just to get a Twilight of the Gods.

I don't know why the fuck Slough Feg's debut hasn't been reissued on CD recently yet, but sure let's just put a damn vinyl reissue out.

I had to buy my CD off Discogs from a Japanese seller. It was also the 2002 reissue because there wasn't anyone selling an original release copy at the time.

Ape Uprising is alright. Solid album with more of their usual good stuff. Some songs are very cool even if it isn't their best album overall - the 10 minute title track for instance, so fucking cool.

necrophobic - mark of the necrogram 12"; I'm stunned by these veterans' new album with so many great riffs and so much power, all the more so as the last albums were really hit or miss for me. best album since darkside in my book (=in more than 20 fucking years!!!)

alice cooper - the spirit of halloween CD (live bootleg 1978); not my cup really, I tradelisted this
metallica - ...and justice is done; live in europe 1991 bootleg CD; tradelisted

The Lord Wierd Slough Feg is still one of the coolest metal names ever! Lately when I haven't been listening to new stuff I've been listening to Slough Feg, particularly Down Among the Deadmen and Twilight of the Idols.

Recent purchases:
Midnight - Sweet Death and Ecstasy
Genocide Pact - Order of Torment

Really excited about both of these releases, once I get around to it I'll probably post some pictures

I recently discovered Fetid Zombie (solo project of Mark Riddick, who does a ton of album covers for underground metal bands), loved what I heard, and started adding a bunch of his releases:
Fetid Zombie/Svierg: Once Still Cosmos
Fetid Zombie/Demonic Rage: Profane Rites of Death
Fetid Zombie/Battlestorm: Defiling the Altar of Gods
Fetid Zombie: Epicedia

That added to my previous stuff:
Fetid Zombie/Swamp: Necromantic Passages
Fetid Zombie: Grotesque Creation

I ordered several of those through the Bandcamp page and Mark included a demo from his band in the 90's:
Excrescent: Suffocated by Entrails

People should be checking this band out if you haven't.
