This was my haul today:
Send More Paramedics - The Awakening
Zombie Apocalypse/Send More Paramedics - Tales Told by Dead Men

I really like Send More Paramedics anyway, but Zombie Apocalypse surprised me (considering they're a side band of Shai Hulud).

Got enough sludgey stuff for awhile; back to more death metal-ish realms.

Depravity - Silence of the Centuries
Entrails - The Tomb Awaits
West Wall - On My Shield
Antediluvian - Through The Cervix Of Hawwah
Riot - Immortal Soul
Brutally Deceased - Dead Lover's Guide
Owl - Owl
Vanhelgd - Vanhelgd
Ignivomous - Blood and Mercury
Prosanctus Inferi - Red Streams of Flesh
Demonic Death Judge - The Descent

Where from?

The first three from BASAR North America, DDJ from he band themselves, the last three from NWN, Owl from Zeitgeister, Antediluvian from Profound Lore and the last couple from Ebay.

I finally decided to take advantage of the Relapse Records offers and since I wanted to check out Mastodon for a while now, I got Remission for $6 and Leviathan for $0.21. The shipping cost more than the actual products, as usual!

Just went to my local CD/record store, and was pleasantly surprised to see that they now have a separate section for metal, however, it didn't really have anything I was looking for, but I still got 2 great non-metal CDs.

Godspeed You! Black Emperor - F♯ A♯ ∞
The Band - The Band

F#A# is genius.

How does The Band compare to Songs From The Big Pink?

I'm pretty new to The Band, I got into them when I heard "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down" and I haven't heard Songs From The Big Pink Yet, but the self-titled is a really good album.

Also, I ended up getting an order in the mail today from Einsamkeit Tapes:

Mania/Huldrekall - split tape
Huldrekall patch
Vradiazei - Ancient Church tape

Indeed, Bolt Thrower crushes all with their death metal might.

I seen that, people get carried away in those auctions. The reissue is pretty much the same. The artwork has been changed up, but it still has the whole warhammer theme going.

have you heard a bong-ra album called "grindkrusher" ? it's pretty much mental drum n bass/breaks with heaps of bolt thrower samples etc in it [lots and lots!]
it's an acquired taste...

yeah i saw realm of chaos go for something like $100 for an original, that's rough.
oh shit, this is the recent purchases thread ha ha i'm gearing up for a photo shoot of my scores today, i bought the farm just about
pics to follow...

Your copy of Non Serviam is on CD? I'm after the vinyl, but I can't seem to find it so I'm thinking of buying the CD from Amazon. Where did you get it from?

Merciless - The Awakening LP (Temple of Darkness Records reissue - black vinyl)

Would've been happier if it had been reissued without the bonus material on side b but a very welcome addition to the collection all the same.

Nice choice. Solid album. Whats wrong with the bonus tracks? Are they bad live recordings?

My version (the Osmose 1999 CD) has several decent live recordings. They're not something I listen to all that often, but they're still worth having.

I think they are the same as the Osmose bonus tracks, which are decent enough. In general I prefer bonus material to be unreleased studio recordings, especially on vinyl.

Still very glad to have this killer LP on black wax, just played it twice through :)

i read somewhere ages ago [maybe an interview?] that the bestial warlust albums were meant to be a 'trilogy' but it never happened.

Pretty sweet haul that landed today. Glad I was home when the courier dropped it off, because it has been pissing down with rain for the last three days.
Image

Bestial Raids - Prime Evil Damnation cd
Vanhelgd - Church Of Death cd
Myrkr - Rituals Of Undeath 7". Now I have all of their (admittedly small) discography, minus the demo unfortunately. Great fucking band.

Image

Claws - Absorbed In The Nethervoid LP (black vinyl limited to 400)

Image

Vanhelgd - Cult Of Lazarus LP and Church Of Death t-shirt.

you guys get rain?!

i've been wanting to make a 'drop box' at my house for couriers and posties etc but it'll never happen
i get all my parcels sent to my local post office now, it works well, they accept signature required stuff, parcels too big for my mailbox and are open 7 days, very cool.

Yeah we get rain...just not like you sodden lot do

Australia post is only open Monday to Friday, and most of my packages are sent there, but occasionally one or two are sent via courier, which can be a little annoying - you know, having packages just lying around you back door etc...
