Yeah, I've heard some of it and I really like it. I wish I could find it at the store but I'm probably never going to be that lucky. :P I'm glad you like it, man.

Today was a vinyl day. Finished my last exam of the year this morning, and promptly headed to the record shop. I'm particularly intrigued to see Artch vinyl is still knocking around, after the band have faded into obscurity.

METAL:

Nechochwen-OtO

This is the package of the LP on oxblood colored vinyl with a T-shirt and a digital version. The vinyl coloring and T-shirt are limited to 50 copies worldwide (various other package configurations of the total run of 500 LPs exist). These guys are metal to me at least, and this is a very, very interesting listen.

NON-METAL:

Antimatter-Fear Of A Unique Identity

This is the 15 track expanded edition.

EDIT:

Also just downloaded:

Serpent's Rise-1
Serpent's Rise-2

For those that don't know, this is Derek Roddy's instrumental tech death project where he largely plays all of the instruments. He gives it away for free download on his website-no physical versions exist. 2 was apparently released a few days ago.

Got an unexpected package in the mail yesterday. I ordered the LP and MC version of Kaffe Och Blod from Kim (Hypothermia) on August 19th, and just received it yesterday (5 months to the day). Never expected it to actually come, and to be honest, I forgot about even ordering it. At least I finally have it now. Disgrace also came yesterday as well. One of my good friends is supposed to be sending me this for free: http://www.metal-archives.com/albums/Ve ... enom/39133

Disgrace - 1990 LP

Also got a demo CD sent to my label the other day called 'Black Blood Stigmata.' Pretty good stuff.

Actually it's the high frequencies that get cut. Rip to wav or flac and use, for instance, Audacity to check the waveforms (Analyse -> Plot Spectrum), there should be no visible dropdown.

If Sweden is located somewhere on Mars, then yes..
His excuse was he wasn't shipping anything until he finished the shirts that came with the pre-orders of the Kaffe Och Blod tapes.

I just bought the new Incantation cd, it's not bad, but so far it's not the best album i've heard this year.

Accept - Stalingrad
Wolf does not disappoint! How I love his riffs.

RAM - Death
How have I managed to miss this?! Always thought it was 3rd rate 80s retro metal. It's not! Easily up there with In Solitude.

Well, as I stated in my last post, my friend actually went through with it, and included an extra..

Venom - RIP Venom box set
Image
King Diamond - Halloween Pic Disc
Image

I was pretty surprised when I opened the package up to find both of these in there, I was hardly expecting the Venom one to be honest, but he actually went through with it, so..

Whitehouse is able to reach the level of intensity that most of the metal bands can only dream of.

Bought an LP entitled Metal Killers Kollection for 5 euros from a friend. There's some quality songs there from Thor, Accept, Tokyo Blade, Raven etc. Some of the stuff I already know, but it didn't make a huge hole in my wallet anyway...

Nice bargain I would say. Now I only miss Jesusatan but some time I'm sure I'll get it for a similar price :-)

In what will likely be my last purchase for 2012:

Porcupine Tree-Octane Twisted

-This is a 2 disc live album.

King Crimson-Larks' Tongues In Aspic

-This is the newly released 40th anniversary CD/DVD with a new stereo mix on the CD and 5.1 surround mix on the DVD, both by Steven Wilson.
