The only other October Falls album I know is "The Womb Of Primordial Nature", so I can't say how the new one stands against its predecessor. In general, it seems that they stick to the same formula as before, the only real "surprises" here are the clean vocals on two tracks provided by Tomi Joutsen (Amorphis), which admittedly are pretty good. You basically get what you expect from the band, great melodies and bass lines as usual. Sometimes a surprising element would, however, be welcome, it's a bit too much textbook-like.

Oh yes I heard one of the songs with Tomi's vocals. I can't say I enjoyed it much though. I love the metal music October Falls does but I must say I enjoy their acoustic folk stuff even more.

Steven Wilson-The Raven That Refused To Sing (And Other Stories)

Both the cd version as well as the 5.1 bluray version.

EDIT: Ok, after the first listen of the bluray, both the full 5.1 versions and the stereo instrumental versions, the SW is likely album of the year and nothing will probably come close.

Oh, and I just got:

Pig Destroyer-Mass & Volume
How To Destroy Angels-Welcome Oblivion

That album kills, is it an original one? I only have the 1995 reissue.

I got some other stuff in too, multiple photos.

Great scores from you too! That SdG album is amazing!

It's just a CD version (slipcase). I got it from Prophecy along with the new Pd'H demo.
I got that Baptism tape for a really cheap price and the guy gave me those patches you see in the picture for free :D

Marillion-Radiation 2013 (2CD mediabook)

This is the 2013 remix/remaster of this 1998 album. The original version is long out of print (though I own it, of course), and is somewhat renown amongst Marillion fans for being an excellent album musically, but suffering a lackluster mix. This remix seeks to remedy that, and through my first listen, I can say it succeeds to an extent.

The second disc is the original version, which, in my opinion, is exactly how remixes/rerecordings should be handled.

Yeah me too. I only need the two newest albums to complete my Baptism vinyl collection. But luckily they're easy to get.

Walked into my local record store looking for Portal's new album (they've been having problems getting it for some reason). Clerk says "Sorry, but you might be interested in this" and hands me a reissued copy of Mysticum's "In Streams of Inferno", which I had no idea was even being reissued. Needless to say, pretty fucking stoked.

Wow, HMV is getting really cheap (are they still going under soon?), got Enslaved and Baronesses new albums plus a small White Stripes coffee table book for $25. The Enslaved was particularly cool, it's a digipak with an extra DVD.
