How is this tape? I really like the first 2 demos from the band but I didn't manage to get a copy of the "Demo MMXII" before it sold out.

Haven't heard it yet, unfortunately - my tape player conveniently shat and died on the very day I received that batch of tapes. :grumble: I'll see if I can get it working sometime later this week.

Dimmu Borgir - Enthrone Darkness Triumphant (Russian version with the bonus tracks)
Dimmu Borgir - Abrahadabra
Immortal - Damned In Black (Limited edition with the artwork that doesn't suck)

Ov Hell - The Underworld Regime
Satyricon - Dark Medieval Times
Thorns - Thorns (2011 reissue)

Helstar - 30 Years Of Hel (DVD/2-CD)

Makes me think about how I only have four Helstar studio albums: A Distant Thunder, Nosferatu, King Of Hell and Glory Of Chaos. Any suggestions on where to go from here?

Blind Guardian - A Twist in the Myth
Bluegrass All Stars - Sixteen Grand Slams From Sugar Hill Records
Diamond Head - Lightning to the Nations
Root - The Book
Fiddler On The Roof - Soundtrack
Slough Feg - Atavism

The Blind Guardian, Bluegrass All Stars & Fiddler on the Roof were all blind used book store purchases. All excellent. The rest were ordered online. The Root album is some kind of burn-on-demand Amazon.com copy, though, which is kind of disappointing.

Also awaiting:
Xasthur - Defective Epitaph
Nocturnal Poisoning - Other Worlds of the Mind
Mgla - With Hearts Towards None
Slough Feg - Traveller ( & Traveller t-shirt)

If you dig early USPM with a bit of NWOBHM flavoring you should definitely snag the debut. I'm pretty sure it's readily available for pretty cheap, especially if you don't mind a used copy. I only have Burning Star and Nosferatu, and I vastly prefer the debut. They got a little too thrashy and technical for my tastes on Nosferatu. Still need to explore the releases between.

I probably listen to Zeit more, but Electronic Meditation will always be my favorite Tangerine Dream album. Some of it probably has to do with nostalgia, and it being my first, but MORE IMPORTANTLY those fucking guitar freak-outs are so cool! By far the most "band" sounding TD album.

Amorphis - The Beginning of Times
Solstfir - Svartir Sandar
Before the Dawn - Deathstar Rising

The last item, based on a couple of tracks heard in the car, is pretty certainly the worst thing they've released. All hail the bargain bin!

Yeah, along with The Ghost right next to it, it's the band's worst album. The latest one is killer, though.

I've enjoyed Deadlight and Soundscape of Silence as background music, but this does not work in that context. Meh...

Well, I was hoping to pick up Dagor Dagorath - Yetzer Ha'Ra for the cheap off eBay. But other bidders have sent it out of my desired price range. Good work. Now that CD gets added to the mental backburner.

You German folk are all kinds of lucky with your flea markets. Granted, I once left my local flea market carrying a Branded And Exiled LP, but they haven't had much metal for a long, long time. PR is one of the two Running Wild albums I have yet to procure.

Flea markets and used cd stores fucking rule that's actually where I buy a decent portion of my cds. Last night I just bought Nevermore Dreaming Neon Black, Into Eternity Dead or Dreaming and a cd from a local band Rosenguard Requiem for the Innocent. Also there was a Bewitched (Chile) cd that I passed on but it's bothering me so I'm gonna go back today and buy it
