Does anyone have "Live in Hekelgem" yet? How's the sound quality as compared to their "Black Metal Massacre"? I'm a big fan of SW, but I wasn't too happy with the sound quality of that album (in the sense that it was pretty hard to distinguish the instruments and such). Since this seems to be from the same tour, are the tracks pretty much the same as BMM? Does this have "...Of Night Night"? That would be a cool track to hear live. Thanks!

Here's the track list:

Seems almost the same...very little variation. Maybe the sound quality will be a bit clearer.

What's up with this, will this be an actual release?

Black Metal Massacre was basically a bootleg recording made into an official pro cd, so it'd be hard to worse quality-wise.

People still care about this band? I thought they just wanted to buy his Armour releases.

Armour is good fun but I don't see how, or why, it should work as a substitute for SW - sure, both bands are Werwolf's brainchildren (and both share his tendency to put out shitloads of singles/ep's and too few full lengths), but they sound nothing alike.

Who said they sounded alike?

That's precisely why I can't grasp the reason why Armour should push SW aside; I just don't understand why you brought this band up in this discussion to begin with.

Who said they should push SW aside? My comment was merely that most nowadays seem to care about Armour much more than SW. I doubt you'll be seeing any of it "live" since Armour is much more popular and just released a full length CD.

Relax.

See, that's what I couldn't figure out: I had no idea that Armour had become the somewhat hotter article lately. And I don't really care for SW live, as I don't think their music fits a live context that well; I just stated that, since there seem to be rumours about another live release, they'd better make sure the sound is better than Black Metal Massacre (ok, it's black metal, it's meant to be raw and gritty, but come on - that's a blatant audience recording); it's still be somwhat redundant, since BMM is still pretty recent (and there was also a live 7" not too long ago as well), but at least it'd serve some purpose.

Yeah....I'll be happy if I can hear the bass drum this time. I noticed the lost the Motley Crue cover and added "Blood of Our Fathers" to the set. Shame. They have so many sick jams, I feel like the selection was going-through-the-motions. Maybe they were only allowed a 35 minute set. I'm a huge fan, but the likelyhood of seeing them live is razor slim as I live here in the States.

If it's any consolation, they play very rarely outside Finland in general, and they don't seem to have the greatest reputation as a live act.
The Blood of Our Fathers seems an unusual choice, though it certainly makes sense in a live context; still, what makes the track for me is the hilarious effect on the vocals
I'm surprised at how monotonous the live set seems to be though; it's not like they're short of material to pick.
