If anyone have information regarding this band, please let me know. I found this track, 'Feed The Fire', on a sampler called "Moose Molten Metal Vol. 1". What a KILLER song! SADWINDER deliver straight up Metal with soaring Geoff Tate-ish vox. They also remind me of the legendary HEIR APPARENT with master STEVE BENITO on vox.

I believe that they are Canadian rather than American. There is a text on the LP cover saying "MOOSE MOLTEN METAL Vol. 1 features ten of the hottest unsigned or self-released metal bands from the Montreal & Ottawa regions of Canada".

I have no info except for what can be found on the compilation itself. That does however include a couple of names.
S. Dufour
P. Dufour
J. Valiquette
G. Donohue

Yes, Corimngul--I know that Sadwinder hails from Canada. They're from the Montreal/Ottawa region actually. But that's all I know, he-he.. Would love to hear more songs by this band. They're great!

I did some searching and couldn't find anything relevant to the band. However, this is incredible music, and I certainly would not mind finding some other material from these stellar Canucks.

I did manage to get "some" information about the band a couple of hours ago. The following information was given by a guy called "labrekk" at the Ultimate Metalforum (http://www.ultimatemetal.com)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

SADWINDER were not from the US but from Quebec, Canada. Sadly, they are long gone and never released anything (as far as I know), save for that killer track on the Moose Molten Metal comp. I've seen them live once back in the day and they were great, covering the greats like Mercyful Fate, Maiden, Dio and Malmsteen. It was the first time back then that I witnessed a guitarist being able to nail Yngwie Malmsteen solos.

The guitarist (great chops), Stephane Dufour, is still very active in Quebec, playing for numerous pop and rock singers, but he left metal a long time ago, even though some of his instrumental stuff is quite rocking. He played on the Saints & Sinners album in the 90s, with Rick Hughes (ex-Sword) on vox. You can check out his websites:
http://www.myspace.com/stephanedufour
http://www.stephanedufour.com/en/index.html

He does mention "SideWinder" as of his club days (should have been able to spell the band's name right though...)

I don't know whatever happened to the other members of the band.
