It might just be me living in a hole but I never hear Vincent's bass work ever praised. Pete and Trey are constantly praised for how fast and technical they can get.

When I saw Morbid Angel this year, Vincent did seem competent but the spotlight was really aimed at the other two.
Vincent's vocals I would say would be he's outstanding point to me especially on Altars and the next best being Covenant.

What do you think of Vincent's bass work overall?

I for one love the mini bass solo in Suffocation, so badass. Yes he is a great bassist.

Vincent's bass work does seem to get underappreciated, but it seems only natural being a bassist.

I love his bass work regardless.

I've always appreciated how he plays his own melodies to go with the guitars on Altars of Madness.

A great bassist. He plays his own melodies, like someone said. Indeed, one of the best bassist in the Death Metal for me.

He was awesome when I saw him play in melbourne. I was so glad that he used fingers as well not a pick! He mainly just follows the guitars so he isn't that outstanding. But he makes up for it in the vocal department.
