Human Antithesis is my favorite doom release of all time - and most of their other work is incredible also. However, I'm not really feeling this new release, it's just too "pretty" for my taste. They have always had some clean vocals from time to time mixed in with harsh vocals but this new release is on another level of clean and the music just doesn't have the grittiness for me like their past work.

You should listen to more quality dark doom metal. As much as I like VoS' early works, there are much better outputs out there in the realm of gritty, industrially-tinged, dark doom metal, such as Dolorian's both self titled and Voidwards, to name only a couple...

Those Dolorian albums are incredible. But, as I remember, i really liked Human Antithesis as well, though it's been many years since i played it. I had no idea this band was still around and doing anything. Cool.
