Yesterday, I went to HAIL's concert here in LEBANON and it was a total blast.

With Andreas Kisser, Paul Bostaff, David Eleffson and Tim Rippers covering several Thrash and Heavy metal bands.... It can never go wrong.

I saw them too when they played on Glassheim. I came early and they played lot of Iron Maiden songs during the soundcheck. Really sweet cover band that every one should see if they get the opportunity.

Funny - all of those are well-known(ish?) in the metal world, but that they've made a cover band together seems to have gone completely under everyone's radar.

That's because this is not a site that pays much attention to well known metal. Most of it is concentrated on extreme metal.

He wasn't talking about this site. He was talking about the band, specifically. The band seems pretty content with playing cover tunes despite their status within the metal world as individual musicians.

Oh really? Seeing how Megadeth and Dio are being talked about as much as the majority of the obscure extreme metal bands, I feel I must disagree.

What I meant was that well-known musicians, no matter what genre, usually get noticed whatever they're doing, especially if they start a band (cover- or not) together. Therefore, it's really strange that no one seems to have noticed these people.

I think it might have to do with the intention of visiting smaller places compared to just primarily large venues. If you're constantly performing in small clubs, people aren't going to say much.
